INTRODUCTION
Personal effectiveness is concerned with making best use of the various skills, talent and
other resources which directly help achieving the desired goals and objectives. This means
making necessary changes for improving personality and thinking of the individual.
Improvement of the personality can be done by effectively using the time and available
resources. Personal effectiveness can be improved by analysing the areas of improvement and
taking corrective actions to fill the gap between current stage and desired stage. Personal
effectiveness can be done to increase the performance in the organisation(Miller, 2015).
( Personal effectiveness is related to dealing with the negative problems and situations and
finding out ways to control or overcome such situations. It can also help in boosting the
confidence in the systematic manner). This report will majorly cover the personal development
plan which can help the individual in achieving the targeted goal in the limited time period.
Literature Review
The literature review will be done on the current skills to achieve the targeted goals in the
systematic manner. This will also help me in analysing the probable areas of improvement in my
personality. After this literature review I will be able to know my strength and weakness.
Various ways and methods can also be known to enhance the lacking skill and talent. After
analysing the skills it various things has been drawn out which is stated below-
Communication Skills- It has been analysed that my communication skill is
continuously increasing. This is because I have started communicating with more and more
individuals. With the help of this skill I can easily communicate any vital information if required.
My excellent communication skill will directivity help me in achieving my long and short term
goals(Blundel,2013).( It is essential to improve the communication skill for planning various
things and also for solving the problems in the best possible manner). This is because by using
this skill I will be able to know what steps are to be taken to improve such skill. With the help of
this skill will be also be able to solve the problems and issues of various individuals. This is
because their problems can be deeply analysed by me and solutions can be given.
Time management skills- My time management skill is not up to the mark. This means I
am not able to manage various task and activities. I am also unable to complete the assigned
work on time and due to this work in not completed as per the pre determined work. My

improper time management skill has also resulted in mismanagement of various activities. If this
skill is not improved than I will not be able to achieve my goals(Mumford, Thorpe and Gold,
2010)( management and leadership is very much different because both the terms are generally
used for different situations and also for solving different set of problems. This is because the
various barriers affect my work. So it is very much essential for me to improve this skill if
assigned task are to be completed in proper manner.
Motivation skill- It has been observed that I am highly motivated towards my work. This
means I easily get encouraged to completed the task. This means if I have been assigned any
difficult task than I will not get demotivated. But I will find new and different ways to solve
complete the task. By using this skill can easily guide and encourage other individuals also to
achieve the goals. Adequate motivation skill will help me in facing the challenges in the best
possible manner.
Decision making skill- My decision making skill is not at all good which means I am
unable to take proper decisions regarding the goals. This means in some situations I get confuse
and it become hard for me to decide the future course of action. Due to lack of decision making
skill my other skill are also getting affected and sometime it directly lead to mismanagement of
the work(Eisele and et. al., 2013).
Adaptability- It becomes hard for me to adapt the any changes which takes place
uncertainly. Improper adaptability skill is leading to negative change in my behaviour. As due to
this it becomes uncomfortable for me to easily adapt the changes which takes place. It requires a
lot of time to get comfortable and accept the changes. Due to this I am not able to take necessary
steps for the improvement of other skills.
Leadership skill- It has be observed that I do not have proper leadership skill. This
means due to this will be not be able to guide and manage the various activities if assigned to
me(Armstrong, M. 2016)(There are various types of leadership skills which can be used to
improve. The leader must have some specific qualities which will help in achieving the goals and
objectives.) It is very much essential for me to improve this type of skill because if it is not done
than various other skills and activities will be affected.
Personal development plan
Personal development plan is the continuous process of taking corrective actions
regarding the aims and objectives of the individual. This plan will help in analysing the current

continuously improving the personality. For improving the personality of the individual
personality development plan can be created which will help in achieving the goals in the
