The personal development is considered as key approach in increasing the chances of self
development (Behar-Horenstein, Prikhidko, and Kolb, 2018). The professional development on
the other hand is related to developing key aspects of growth and development related to career
field. In order to lead the competition, it is essential for an candidate to focus on professional and
personal development. The key function and task of an individual is to develop primary focus on
professional development to increase overall strength.
The description and discussion of the value of short-term goals along with identification of three
personal examples
The short term goals are considered as key approach which facilitates in developing
effectiveness in key operations. These goals are usually for 3-4 months duration and provides the
development of confidence in a short span of time. Short term goals also play a key role in
increasing the chances of success and also develop emotional intelligence in a candidate. The
major short term goals of mine are mentioned below:
 Development of team management skills.
 Development of patience and reduce the anger level.
 To increase communication skills.
The discussion and description of significance of medium-term goals with stating their three key
personal examples
The medium term goals are considered as key approach which helps an individual to
achieve set targets and objectives related to personal life. The time duration of medium term
goals is generally of 8 to 12 months. These type of goals are also helpful in increasing the morale
of a candidate. The medium term goals also provides support to a candidate in increasing the
chances of gaining academic success. The key medium term goals are mentioned below:
 Increasing the time management skills.
 To enhance information and communication skills.
 To increase savings and collect funds for the future.

Description and discussion of the value of long term development goals with identification of
three personal examples
In the life of an individual, long term development goals play a major role in increasing
the core competencies and abilities. In order to gain systematic growth at marketplace, it is
essential for an individual to focus on increasing precise approach for achievement and
development of long term goals (Rughani, Franklin, and Renshaw, 2017). These goals are for
the time period of 1 to 5 years and demands for long term efforts to achieve them. My long term
goals are discussed below:

The development of personal development plan helps and supports a student to formulate
