Personal development plan help to achieve the success in career of a person.
Development plan involves improve of existing skills and learning new skills and knowledge
(Lejeune, Beausaert and Raemdonck, 2021). This is very important of the student to plan
develop their skill level and knowledge, it is very beneficial in career of the person. When a
person do not have plan career plan, they suffer a lot in their future. There are certain analyse
which help a person to identify the skills and knowledge they have such as:
SWOT analysis: swot analysis help a person to identify the strength and weakness which they
have and how these strengths and weakness effect the career of the person (GURL, 2017).
Strengths: strength lies in the inner ability of a person, I have strength of communication skill
which allow me to communicate with people effectively. This skill is very important for the
person explain and understand the task to others. My communication skills help me to explore
certain areas of the career life. I have noticed that, in today's world, effective communication
plays a vital role in getting the job. I have such strength that fulfil the demand of various
companies. Another skill I have is leadership skill which make me to lead the team, in my
academic period I used to lead my team and guide my friends about the task. These skills not
only one of the best skill but it is one of the rare skill as well.
Weakness: every person have weakness at some personal level, which make them to face
problem in the future. These weaknesses not only affect the development of the person but these
often slow down the process in career development. I have certain weakness which make me
weak in various part of personal as well as professional life. My weakness are argument, I
sometimes start the argument unnecessary which effect my image in the eye of the person. I need
to overcome this weakness because this will going to create some problem for me in the future.
Opportunities: opportunities are often lies in the weakness of the person, when a person
identifies the weakness they identified the opportunities. I have opportunity to improve my
weakness and often turn it into effective communication skills, I have bad habit of arguing which
make my image bad in front of people. Many company look for people who have effective
communication skills, they demand active listening and communication skill. I have opportunity
to apply in such organization and have high chances of getting hired.

Threats: threats are often competitors and in personal life competitors are the person having the
same skill level and knowledge level. Threats are more risky when they know about the
weakness of the person. I have faced the threats as a competition from my friends and collogues,
some of my collogues have the same knowledge level and skill set. They will going to give
heavy competition to me in career (Kivimäki and Meriluoto, 2018). In today's world, people are
more talented, and they are more aggressive with their personal skills, they try to develop new
skills now and then which make them more effective in getting the jobs. Although I have the
communication skills and most importantly leadership skill which make me different from
others.
