Life style is referred as the way utilised by individuals, groups and nations. It is the
characteristics of inhabitants of a particular region in specific place and time. It involves the day

resulted to this the encounter many difficulties in terms of physical, emotional and psychological

enough sleep. If the individual is not getting adequate amount of sleep, then there are high

mental health issues. Sleep apnea is a disorder which greatly increased the risk related to health.
Apart from this, the another factor is not having balanced meals. Eating junk food and

Strategies for self-care and development of resilience
Self-care habits assist an individual to keep his or her mind and body primed to cope up
with situations which requires resilience (Kelly, Wills, and Sykes, 2017). There are some
strategies for self-care which help me in developing my resilience. These strategies are
mentioned below:
Make time for close relationships: strong ties with co-workers, family, friends and
community groups assist in finding emotional and social support which i require to bounce back
from whatever life throws on me. Spending time with friends and family, connect with co-
workers for walk, lunch or coffee etc. will assist me in taking care of myself and developing
resilience.
Following good sleep practices and healthy diet: Junk food, alcohol etc. depletes energy
and resilience. It is very necessary to avoid or limit them in order to stay healthy. Apart from
this, adopting good sleep practices by establishing bedtime routine is also very much important
to stay healthy emotionally, spiritually and mentally all over the day.
Practice relaxation techniques: the techniques such as mindfulness, meditation, deep
breathing, yoga etc. are widely used techniques for relaxation which can assist in improving
physical and mental wellbeing. This also help in staying away from daily stress, anxiety and
depression and living a healthy life and developing resilience (Raj, Lee, Garrity, and Newman,
2019).

of work, shift work related to nursing, work overload can be stressful and leads to job
dissatisfaction and health consequences like sleep disturbances and obesity (Meyer, and et. al.,
