Introduction
The whole project is based upon my thought process relating to my career by presenting a
plan regarding leadership through my work experience. Leadership is a very dynamic process. In
this assignment, we have prepared and discussed the leadership structure and the state of mind of
an individual. This project is prepared for my development to be a good leader. Thus, I have
prepared a plan for 5 years and analysed my own leadership qualities for effective leadership
development. By considering my career, I have developed an interest in leadership. Therefore, I
have made a 5-year plan in order to overcome and improve all my limitation. This whole project
is based on my plans and thinking.
In my career, I have dealt with various situations, which has influenced me to develop
leadership quality. This whole leadership plan based upon my own experience. A leader is the
one who guides their subordinates holding various responsibility and authorities. As being the
leader, I want to inspire others to join me in my project to develop and execute new leadership
plans. I have faced a lot of difficulties in the process of developing new plans and strategies for
leadership development. In the process of developing the plans for leadership, I have also
considered various principals for the formation of the leadership process. I have also considered
various informal grounded theories. For formulating any theory, first I have collected the
information regarded the particular area then modified the theory as per the requirement. I have
constructed my view and thoughts about leadership through many experiences in my career. I
have collected many feedbacks from my superiors and partners regarding the present leadership
styles while working within the Multinational company. Therefore, I have improved and
developed a lot trough this phrase and developed leadership plans though my point of view.
The project consists of two parts. Firstly, I have explained about my whole journey and
experience. Secondly, I have assessed my plans for the upcoming development as being the
leader (Baron & Parent, 2015).

As being the employee of san multinational company from the last five years, I have
developed and faced many difficult situations as a leader. I also improved my thinking like a
leader and understood the role of dynamic leadership. Whatever the company’s current position
is my dream to achieve. I was designated as the information officer for a small company which
was acquired and merged with a multinational company. It is very difficult to take decisions in
an emotional situation, thus many times I have failed to take a sane decision. I also planned long
term strategies for the betterment of the organization. I also followed various business
technologies and process to develop as a good leader. I always kept the updated notes regarding
my operational problems and the recommendation of staffs relating to the development of a good
leader.
There are some elements which reflects my leadership journey capabilities emphasize.
Professional development:
Professional development depicts about the feedbacks which was received in the process of self-
development.
Self-awareness:
For self-awareness, I conducted a proper psychometric assessment and the exercises which
reflects my strength as a leader, I also develop and found my capabilities with regarding the
effective leadership.
Career strategy:
I have given more importance to the strategies which can give a boost to my career. Therefore, I
have always opted for the strategies which can enhance my carries.
My self-development journey has helped me to find the areas of strengths and
developments as my capabilities for effective leadership. The main purpose behind the personal
leadership journey is to improve the self-awareness, which is the foundation to the career of an

As per my leadership journey, I have understood that there are various challenges a
company has incurred such as, sustainability growth, large acquisition, etc. as an employee of the
company my duties were to make changes in the strategies which the company was following.
Later it was understandable that that was not the only task which I had to do. Thus, I changed my
approach regarding the demand of executives and clients. I was managing the team which was
working under me, and also giving them the authority regarding the execution of technology-
based projects in the business. Later on, I also report to higher authorities about the business unit.
I also explained and discussed the issuers with the Information technology department. As a
result, a new VP of IT was recognized. Further, the team which was working under me was
deliberated to another person. Thus, my only task was to report to the boss as an independent
leader (Joo & Jo, 2017).
The whole procedure was very difficult and challenging, but it has really helped me to
develop myself as a leader. It helped me to understand my critical areas where I should improve
furthermore and made me understood my strong points as well. This whole process made me
reflect myself and helped me to recognize my own identity, values and honesty as a leader. This
whole process helped in transforming into a self-organized system. This process allowed me to
get involved in different business units. A leader is nothing without the ones who follow.
Therefore, leadership is all about encouraging the ones who are working under him. Good
leadership can influence the subordinates to obtain their organizational goal. Various authors
have different meaning and definition of leadership till now. All together we can describe
leadership as an effective and dynamic process, strategy, and relationship that shares their point
of view with others to make them understand and follow the leader. But it is based upon the self-
interest and the followers desire to participate in the plan as suggested by the leader.
As per my study, I have analyzed and learned communication and how to influence an
individual. I prepared myself to develop my skills and flexibility, to run corporate networking.
This was very challenging since I started to face and experience the leadership process. I tried to
understand the organizational structure and aspects of leadership and focused to identify the
system. The main issues which remain unsolved are the challenge regarding the attention. As per
my view, it is not enough for a leader to take actions only. A good leader should take actions
which can influence which can serve as a good outcome in the future.

My current capabilities
It is a common requirement of any organization to have a leader who is capable of
leading the employees for achieving the organizational goal. From my point of view, I can say
that a leader should be the one who can inspire, motivate and influence the employees to do the
work with full interest. If the employees work effectively and efficiently it helps the
organizational goal and the growth of the company. As per these factors, I can relate to some of
my capabilities on leadership such as-
Strategy designing
As per my experience, I can say that I can design a strategy. My strategy involves
competitive nature, the trends of competitors goods and services and economic trends. Their
elements are required for introducing the new products in the market.
Executing strategy
As per the execution of the strategy, with my five years of experience, I have developed a
various operational plan which can implement the strategies. It is one of the main functions
which a leader can perform. The proper execution of strategy is based upon the leaders and the
performance of the company.
Innovation
Through leadership, innovation is created. in these past years, I have developed the
quality to innovation through encouraging, influencing and appreciating the employees working
under me. Which enables them to get more interested in the participation in the operation of the
organization.
Intellectuality and control over emotions
There are two intellectual parts of a leader such as Emotion and intelligence. As a leader,
I have the capability to manipulate these factors of leadership, which is important for the
sustainability of the organization. A leader is selected by the employees who understand their
point of view and situations. Therefore, I can say that I have the ability to listen to the employees
and take immediate actions (Laschinger et al., 2015).

It is very common for any organization to aim to expand and grow their business
globally. Therefore, I can say that I can transform and expand the business on an international

This whole plan is based upon the two models, the Boyatzis Intentional model and the Whitman
Grow Model.
The Whitman Grow Model
As per sir Whitman, this model has designed GROW. It reflects the idea of “coaching for
performance” in the book written by him. This model enables an individual to frame a proper
structure for the conversation mentoring, the framework which allows the proper mentoring
procedure is-

Under this model, there are certain mentoring skills which are been discussed which I can use for
the current situation. Some of the mentoring leadership skills are, SMART, CLEAR and PURE.
Smart means, specific, measurable, Agreed, realistic and Time-phased. CLEAR means,
challenging, Legal, Environmentally sound, Appropriate and Recorded.
Reality check
After properly setting up the goal of the organization, proper exploration should be done for the
self-awareness and awareness of the person. There are some factors a person to consider such as,
how everyone feels, what are their weaknesses, what are the feeling of predominance, what is the
confidence level (Lawton & Paez, 2015).
Options When the employees are properly aware and well informed regarding the current
situation and the reality, proper steps and actions should be taken to achieve the organizational
goals. an employee is free to think about the various options for moving the issue forward. The
negativity occurs from the beliefs of others. As a leader, I have to overcome and think beyond
my beliefs.
The major negativity which arises within the organization are-
I don’t know, it should be done by me, it should not be done like that, no one will agree, it will

To overcome these issues, I have taken some corrective measure to solve this-
If the employees are aware of what they are doing, if they will not face a hurdle, if they have
enough money and time
This major key has provided the proper solutions to all the beliefs and solution can be found with
ease.
What has to be done, when and by whom?
In this step, the leader is required to move forward take the action with full confidence.
Some question may arise such as,
What he is going to do, when he will do, whether the actions are going to meet the goal or not,
what are the expected obstacles, who need to be known, what should be the confidence level.
I have selected this model since it includes many actions, and the actions which are presented in
this model are required for the development of the leadership plan (Rubens et al., 2018).

Intentional Change Theory (ICT) Boyatzis
I have evaluated one more model for the proper leadership plan that helps in the
development of the business. The model discussed here is Boyatzis Intentional Change Theory
(ICT). This model is based on the structure of evidence-based that makes the development in the
leadership plans and facilitates the leaders to make changes in the performance of the company.
The Intentional change theory is suitable in the leadership environment as this theory is
associated with coaching, positive thinking, and intellectual emotion. This theory provides the
practice of coaching that has grown significantly. This model initiates with the discovery by
identifying the classifying the ideal self of an individual. It identifies the personal change and the
learning results and rectifies the discrepancy between the ideal self and the real self.

Boyatzis Intentional change theory is related to the system theory, and it is appropriate for the

quality. The effective leadership plans need additional information for identifying the new skills
and knowledge. In this research study, the leadership plans have been provided for identifying
the effective idea that can help in the development of actions in the leadership plans.

Focusing on multiple goals is essential to carry the leadership plan that helps to achieve
the business goals. It also assists to prioritize the development area. It is suggested to focus not
only on one or two areas of development but to center on different goals. Evaluation of
leadership and business goals helps to prioritize the development area.
Use of Smart techniques
The business goals need to be specific, measurable, actionable, realistic and timely
according to the GROW model. Business metric needs to be specified for identifying the leaders’
behavior change.

organizational growth. The whole team of the organization is related to each other, and it
depends on the quality of leadership. It is suggested to focus on the effectiveness of leadership

In this research analysis about the topic of the leadership plan and dynamic leadership, I
have discussed several aspects of the leadership process that needs to be performed for the
goodwill of the organization. I have summarized the three leadership aspects that need to be
implemented in an organization. Various techniques are utilized by the leaders for maintaining
the proper management of the organizational system. I have mentioned various models such as
GROW and ICT model, to give an overview of the proper management of leadership. The action
taken by the leaders on the formal and informal roles has been provided in this report. I have
explained the roles of the leaders that are required in the leadership process and the activities
during the leadership plan are also mentioned for performing the best quality leadership process.
