1. Identifying the core competencies and attributes which are required to be successful in
education.
There are various ways in which a person can develop core competencies that will help
him achieving the success in his life. I identified such competencies which are as follows:
a) Expanding cultural competency: In a classroom, there are different students from
different backgrounds and cultural systems. Teachers should educate children about all the
cultures and to respect each and every culture so that students have uphold cultural
knowledge and appreciate each culture (Timm and Barth, 2021). I feel that such awareness
about culture to the students will build confidence to interact with other classmates and begin
developing the cross-cultural sensitivity. Further, it will help them to understand how the
world is adopted and looked upon by others. I think that students can develop such
competency by observing their environment and asking questions about various cultural
activities going around them. They can also develop such attribute by welcoming new
members to the group and accepting their norms and behaviours.
b) Having creative mind: A person should always have imaginative thinking and keen to
learn new concepts and theories. I believe that such creative mind can help students to remain
alert about their surroundings and learn new things on everyday basis which will help them to
be successful in life. Innovative minds help students to solve problems quickly and efficiently
within the limited time frame and resources. I also have a firm belief that educational
institutions are doing their best jobs to develop the creative minds of students. Now-a-days,
the world has become very dynamic which requires quick actions to any problem arising with
limited resources to be used. In such cases, innovative thinking of person can help solve
problem effectively.
c) Promoting team work: The skill & ability to work cohesively in a team is an important
attribute to be taught to students. I, personally feel that a team working in a collaborative
manner can achieve great heights. Such a skill should be imparted to students at early age in
schools & institutions so that they learn the benefits of working in team (Peschl, Deng and
Larson, 2021).
d) Properly communicating: It is very important for a student to clearly communicate his
thoughts, beliefs & actions so that other person can clearly understand what he is trying to
convey. Good communication help person to interact with others and make strong
connections to share ideas and knowledge.

3. Reflecting the past behaviour & developing strategies of future personal learning
Reflecting on the past behaviour aids a person to learn from the experiences and how
things can be done differently in future times. According to my opinion, reflective practice
have become a skill now, and various theorists like, Chris Argyris have coined that reflection
allows a person to re-frame his thoughts and ideas to recognize how work can be done in
different manner also (Blackett, Evans and Piggott, 2021). I firmly believe that reflection
motivates us to ponder over new beliefs and assumptions and find newer and quicker
solutions to the problems. These reflective practices can be achieved by reading the topics
that are to be learning or sharing the viewpoints and experiences with peer groups and so on.
Ways of developing strategies for future personal learning:
1. Goal setting: First of all, a student should develop a goal that he wants to achieve in
his life. I suppose that framing a goal will help him to set objectives and guidelines to achieve
that goal. Goal should be realistic & measurable which can be achieved in stipulated time.
2. Taking small steps: After setting the goal, I have the opinion of breaking the target
into small tasks and taking each task at a time. This breakdown of goal will help student to
achieve the ultimate target easily and effectively without much burden. Taking one small step
encourages a person to move ahead and achieve end goal.
3. Enhancing existing skills: I have seen that a person is keen to learn new skills without
focusing on the existing skill set. So, student should first learn the skills he already possess
and excel in that before acquiring advanced skills. Strengthening the attributes which a
person already have will help him to become extraordinary. After having hand on existing
abilities, a person can move forward towards learning contemporary skills & behaviour.
4. Positive mind set: As per my understanding, learner should always have a winning
attitude towards life. Keeping a positive mind help achieving great success and allows a
person to grow in wholesome manner. Embracing the failures and learning from the mistakes
should be the attitude of a learner.
5. Learning in depth: According to my analysis, person should always try to grasp the
skill in complete depth. It a good to learn one concept at time deeply rather than learning
various concepts at an overview (Cuypers and et,al., 2021). Dedicating the complete time to
one thing at time can save resources and enhance knowledge greatly.
4. Explaining purpose of feedback & analysing strategies for personal development
The purpose of feedback is to maintain a steady & healthy environment to enhance the
productivity & engagement levels in order to accomplish better results. Constructive
feedback help in good communication, better interactions with team mates from different

fields, creating a clear view about the scenario with increased transparency. I firmly
deliberate that in education and learning purpose, feedback is very important to adopt new
skills & abilities and ponder over mistakes to avoid them in future. Feedback given in correct
manner and not in offensive way can help student learn new concepts & evolve latest skills
(Lejeune, Beausaert and Raemdonck, 2021). I stipulate that feedback provided in a friendly
way can motivate a person to achieve personal & professional growth. Feedback plays an
important role in personal development of a person. He gets an understanding of where he is
at the moment and where he wants to be, i.e. what things are to be done in effective manner
to achieve the desired goal.
Personal strategies to analyse feedback for personal development:
Feedback analysis is very beneficial in the process of personal development in order
to achieve goals. According to me, strategies required to analyse feedback are discussed
below:
1. Having right mind set: First and foremost, adopting the correct mind set is crucial for
feedback analysis. In this case, person should have a growth mind set where he believes that
skills can be learned and adopted through continuous hard work. I have the opinion that
person should be fuelled with curiosity to learn new concepts without any hesitation.
2. Identifying key working areas: According to my experience and learning, learner should
be completely aware about himself, i.e. which skills he possess and which skills need to be
possess for fulfilling the pre-designed goal (Feedback is a Source of Fuel for Personal
Development and Self -Actualization at Work, 2021). Such an analysis will help him to focus
primarily on addressing the major topics.
3. Evaluating end result & progress: I have the opinion to rigorously monitor the results &
progress by writing it down on the notebook. Such evaluation will help student to focus on
things done and easily sketch ideas. Keeping track of all skills achieved will help him in his
personal development. Student can also use Trello Board to track the work done and work yet
to be done.
