1.0 Self-reflection on personal learning and development,
and the transferable skills
1.1 Identification and reflection on my approach to personal
learning and development
From my erudition, I believed that individual learning and development plays a
pivotal role in a person's life. It is primary to develop personally and professionally.
For a person, it is fundamental to increase skills and cognition at every phase of life.
I understood that acknowledging the requirements and aspirations of oneself that he
or she want attains in his or her life. It makes an individual capable of doing
something in the most effective as well as in productive way. I sensed it as the
evolution of my full potential to attain any chore. It is an on-going process that starts
as adolescent children in the teen years of life and lasts till the last breath of life.
Through this learning and developing sessions, I am competent to know my strong
and weak areas. I analyzed my skills, qualities and abilities as well as the area
where I am lacking or want to grow myself in that area. I found that knowing such
things is very helpful to me as it helps me to experience the ways through which I
can attain my life aspirations. Additionally, attending such sessions helped me to live
what I want to succeed in life and makes me competent to do any job with my full
potential. There are three types of goals that a person can set to achieve in a
specific time duration. These aspirations are short-term, medium-term and long-term
aspirations. By establishing these targets, I can be able to experience what object I
want to achieve at what certain time duration. I came to know about various things
involved in personal learning and development that it involves several activities and
opportunities in which I can participate to grow and improve my craved field. As I
want to grow my vocation in the field of management and want to become an
enterpriser of my organization I will be required to develop and improve some of the
essential skills and knowledge through I can show my potential and handle my
management activities in a well manner. In my learning sessions, I came to realized
that PDP will be very helpful for me to reflect on my skills and abilities in which I want
to develop and improve myself. Therefore, I will form an efficacious plan of action
through which I can find ways and routes of my personal development.
1.2 Identification of the transferable skills I have already developed
by attending this module
Skills I meant as the individual's attributes and qualities which I person
needed to reach his or her set goals. As I want to become a good entrepreneur and
want to look forward in management domain I was needed to focus on my areas
where I need to grow and improve in order to get my personal and professional goals
attained. While I was doing my sessions, I realized some of the main skills which I
have already developed and will be useful to me as an entrepreneur. The skills
which I have developed are as mentioned:
Communication skills: I realized that I have good communication skills
within me and very well I can put my view upfront and talk with each other
effectively. I completely understand that a good entrepreneur should have

Problem solving skills: As a good manager in my company, I should grow
problem solving skills within me. I think that a manager must have this skill as
there are many issues and problems rises in the company on regular basis. I
need to be outstanding in my domain and must have the ability to remain calm
even in stress and pressure. I would like to develop problem solving skills
within me as I need to provide innovative solutions to the problems that I
might face in the management.
Interpersonal skills: I would like to improve my interpersonal skills within me
as I found that a good manager must be get interacted with their employees
and with other people who are associated with the organization. It helps in
building good relationships with others. Moreover, if I grow in the interpersonal
skills then it will help me to gain respect from my employees as I better deal
with them.
