INTRODUCTION
Learning portfolio is a procedure related to identifying, assessing and also appreciate the
competencies, abilities and skills. It is very flexible in nature and it combines the documentation
as well as reflection. In this present assignment, there are some case studies are given (Nelson,
2015). Under this assignment, there are four types of portfolio mentions and these are project vs.
Programme, programme theory, governance, engagement of programme stakeholders, initiation
and these all portfolios are linked with a case study. The main motive of learning portfolio is to
achieving the organisational goals with the best outcomes in an effective and efficient manner.
TASK 1
Portfolio Entry 1 – Project vs. Program
1) Yes, I agreed with an approach of Bounding box concept which is set through the
Mike Fritz. He is working in Megatronic, a reputed and big organisation and there he is on the
position of director of program. This concept is very helpful in accomplishing the set target and
goals of company. The box means the necessities, limitations and a set boundaries which are
situated through the management at the initiation of programme. In this, the management set a
boundary or can say a time period regarding development of programme. This kind of concept is
very helpful in encouraging the interaction between all important and can say main players of
company such as sponsors of programme and its stakeholders (Jeng and et. al., 2010). It will be
helpful in the process related to secession making quickly. The reason behind agreeing with this
approach is that with the help of this Megatronic company can set and achieve its objective on
proper time period. But on the other hand there are some elements are included related to
tightness of bounding box like for an instance opportunities size, skills, capabilities of team, risks
in the market place. The conditions related to box are violated and the programme of this
business organisation is regarded as the Out of bounds. There are some elements are included
that can be helpful in bounding a programme:
the size of market.
Schedule
tastes and preferences of customers.
Necessities of consumers.
Resources required for manufacturing services and products.
