Introduction
The essay will provide my personal description of the Niagara Falls, thatwhich I have visited last
May and attracted me for its natural beauty. I will share my experience of visiting Niagara Falls,
which is situated on the border of New York in the USA and Ontario in Canada. The place is
famous for its natural beauty and is also a vital source of hydroelectricity. Niagara is recognized
as one of the biggest waterfalls in the world, and almost three thousand tons of water flowsflow
over the falls every second. Every year, thousands of tourists visit the place due to its natural
beauty and get a marvelous experience.
Personal Description
Many places in the world have madeamazed us amazed forwith itstheir natural beauty, and I
think we all have a beautiful place in our mindminds. I also have a place in my mind, which has
made me happy several times. The place is Niagara Falls, which is beautiful to me as it is part of
the country where I was born, loved, spent my childhood, and grew up. As a child, I thought that
this place, like the Grand Canyon and Mt. Rushmore, were the attractions to the people of
Canada. I was provided with facts and figures, but in my young mind, I could not grasp the
actual greatness and size of the place.
This lastpast May, I got an opportunity to visit the place with my family and see it with my own
eyes. The most spectacular aspect of the waterfall is that it is not located in a far-away location
in the country. asInstead, it is right in the center of the town known as the town of Niagara Falls
(Anders, Agnew, Harris & Stirrup, 2016, p. 15). As a child, I have imagined the place as the
huge rushing of water, but after visiting the place on last May, I could not visualize the
breathtaking view and great beauty offered by the Niagara Falls. The waterfall is located on the

border of the USA and Canada (Alkana, 2015, p. 9). May is the best time to visit the place, as we
could enjoy the surroundings of Niagara Falls like the warm weather, beautiful rainbow, and blue
skies. During our visit to Niagara Falls, the weather was warm and pleasant, and I have seensaw
and enjoyed several kinds of trees with pink, white, red, purple, and yellow flowers. Our journey
was more intensified by Lake Ontario, and soon, we were surrounded by the deep blue and green
water of the waterfall.
There are numerous ways to view the place, but the best way is to see the majesty as well the
beauty of the waterfall through the tour. Our tour guide guided us through several unseen
attractions of the Niagara Falls, such as artificial tunnels behind the Niagara Falls. I came to
know that it comprisesis comprised of three different waterfalls such as Bridal Veil Falls,
Horseshoe Falls and American Falls, and itthey isare combinedly known as Niagara Falls. It was
created almost 12,000 years ago when the vast glaciers moved back and allowed the Niagara
River to flow above the huge rocks (Woodworth, 2016, p. 11). I have noticed that the torrents of
water have released from the melted ice and flowed into the Niagara River and, boastboasting the
highest rate of water flow onin the world. I have observed many look-outlookout points, which
permitted us to see the remarkable speed of the water rushing above the rocks. The water was
flowing at an incredible 212,000 cubic feet each second (Brouder & Fullerton, 2015, p. 33). We
were directed to the basin where the waterfall originated, which was miles away, and; over
12,000 years, it has eroded almost seven miles.
It consists of the Art Park for Cotinus coggygria at the base of the Niagara Escarpment in the
plains of Lake Ontario. The plant has been considered as a member of the flora state of New
York, as it is frequently cultivated beside the Niagara Falls (Ellingham & Mulligan, 2015, p. 17).
Cotinus coggygria changes its color between June and September and coversgets the

plantcovered with a smoky pink plume (Chris Choi, Huang, Flaherty, & Khazaei, 2017, p. 16).
The color of the water that flows over the Niagara Falls is a mixture of blue and green, and it
looks beautiful, which, again, made me made me fellfall in love with the place. I have noticed
that the water at the bottom of the falls was lookinglooks brown, which is due to the clay that
eroded from the bottom of the lakes. Niagara is considered as a famous waterfall of the world in
whichA thousand tons of water flow from Niagara Falls each second, and more than thousands
of tourists visit therethe falls to get the experience of seeing itthem. The waterfalls in theof
Niagara Falls are 170 to 180 feet tall, and it looksthey solook graceful to observe the waterfall
(Haynes, 2018, p, 23).
The remarkable history of Niagara Falls becamecame alive when I saw it with my own eyes. The
schoolbooks described the water fallwaterfalls as onesome of the greatest miracles in the world.
But after visiting the place, it seemed thatas if neither textbooks ornor any other books could not
possibly provide us thewith adequate knowledge ofabout the vastness of Niagara Falls. andThey
also cannot give life to the incredible history behind this miracle ofnatural naturemiracle as it
looked like a larger -than -life wonder of nature (Weaver, 2017, p. 19).
Conclusion
It can be concluded from the essay that Niagara Falls, which is one of the greatest miracles of
nature in the world, couldcan onlycertainly be described as breathtaking. This placelandmark can
be visited at any time of year, whether it hasfeatures its splendid ice bridge formed by the cold
during the winter or when the stunning rainbows are shining in the mist,. theThe waterfall always
seems to be attractive to its viewers. Theand waterfalls looklooks gorgeous for its blue and green
