1CHILDHOOD EDUCATION
Each and every educator has his own philosophy in teaching the students which can
effectively guide him throughout his professional career. In most of the cases, there
philosophies are based on the personal value and belief system and understand of ensuring
the high quality of education provided to the students. The personal philosophies of the
teachers never clash with the professional philosophy. These are prepared and maintained in
the collaboration with the colleagues and interested parents as they are invited to introduce
their own suggestions regarding their children’s education. The personal philosophy has an
ever changing nature which can be changed according to time as well as situations. The
philosophy that I have built to provide a high quality education to my students can oppose the
desires or values of the parents but my idea or philosophy will never be comprised rather I
will be recommending facts that will be suited for the parents of the students.
As an educator, the first and foremost idea is to make the learning environment bright,
motivating, secured and attractive so that the students are inspired to achieve their talents or
potentials which is also the principle of EYLF (Nolan & Raban, 2015). Through intentional
teaching and spontaneous as well as responsive communication, the proper exposure of full
potential can be attained. Through my efficient teaching methods, I aim to satisfy the students
in every aspect of their learning. As the theorists like Rousseau and Piaget have disclosed the
fact that the children are connected with their world and try to contribute effectively,
therefore, I focus on creating spaces which will help them to identify as well as develop their
social, emotional physical, spiritual, lingual and finally their intellectual senses. I am greatly
influenced by the philosophy of Rousseau as he stated that the responsibilities of the
educators are not only to apply the technique to clarify the concepts and knowledge their
pupils but there are also responsible to develop the character of the students as well as their
moral senses (Galbraith, 2017). This will help the children to learn the self-mastery and they
will learn to realm virtuous in every situation in their lives.

2CHILDHOOD EDUCATION
To me, it is important that the children are nurtured, valued and respected as the
individuals. As an educator, it is my responsibility that I assume the accountability to identify
the students’ personal as well as educational development as they are under my care.
Therefore, my philosophy is to plan and care for the students thus stimulate and challenge
their various types of needs cultures, talents along with interests of my students. As an
educator I am liable to support the children’s learning progress throughout their journey
through constant observation, documentation, planning, evaluation then reflection as
mandated by EYLF (Nolan & Raban, 2015). In this aspect I can name the theorist Froebel
which identified that the children have strong sense of wellbeing. To me the wellbeing of the
children is essential for their all-inclusive development and this development will be
irrespective of their personal backgrounds for example race, gender, religion, culture and
disability. To me this exceeds to support the families from the various background in their
role as the care givers. Regular communication with the families can be an integral part of my
role as an educator, a principle of EYLF (Nolan & Raban, 2015). This will help me to get
integrated with the families of the children and provide an overall support to the development
of the children.
I am very much influenced with the philosophy of Erikson as he states that the
children have a very strong sense of identity. This theorist has argued that the children in
their lives face various types of problems through which the learn to develop themselves both
socially as well as emotionally. On the support of this theory, Piaget has stated that these
external factors help the children to explore more thus gain maturity (Nolan & Raban, 2015).
By following these theorists, I aim to build a safe and homely yet educational and stimulating
environment so that children get full scope to develop themselves. In this environment the
children will gain the experience of high quality influencing measures and a touch of trust
upon one another which will bring a mentality of security in their minds. My philosophy

attempts to ensure a warm supportive and caring atmosphere where each of the children will
get success, love, grow, secure thus improve a sense of belonging. The atmosphere of trust,
cooperation yet stimulation, will create an atmosphere of positivity which will genuinely
effective in their learning process.
To me, the intentions of the educations in providing knowledge are not the only focus
of being an efficient educator. It is mandatory to care the students genuinely. Without
genuine intention for the wellbeing of the children the educators can never be success in the
effective knowledge sharing views. The children when find no interest from the part if the
educators, do not feel attached with what they are teaching or what instructions they are
providing for the growth. This lack of attachment among the educators and the children leads
to complete failure of the education system as the teachers do not get respected by their
pupils. This is one of the major outcome of incapability as an effective educator. The ultimate
success of the educator’s philosophy is associated with the pupils respecting him more than
anything. The educators can be successful only when their students will see them as the role
models and follow whatever they speak or actions they take. Their actions as well as choices
are to be appreciated and followed.
According to the eminent educator, Montessori, the children are involved learners
hence confident (Ansell, 2016). Therefore, I prefer to provide apt atmosphere ascribed in the
EYLF for the overall growth of the children.to me, as the children are involved learners, they
should be provided choices, scopes responsibilities and the opportunities for initiating their
own learnings (Nolan & Raban, 2015). Through this choice they will be able to engage
themselves to develop maturity than their peers and get exposure if their talents. This is the
method how I expose these children in building their confidence and determination. By
following the guidelines of National Quality Standards and National Quality Framework and
ACEQUA, I believe proper observations as well as assessments can be some excellent tools

which will be used by me when I am planning their curriculum (Acecqa.gov.au, 2018). In this
curriculum I create a child-centred atmosphere where my pupils have huge opportunity to
excel to will new challenges by the means of activities as well as topics which are meaningful
for them. This is how the children build their self-esteem due to the reason that they develop
as well as learn effectively. The observations from my part as an educator aide to create the
curriculum in one hand, and give the insight into their personal development, knowledge and
most importantly the skill levels of every individual child.
I as an educator, I always encourage the children to feel proud of who they are.
Identifying personal identity these children can become effective learner in one hand which is
my chief aim and become a good human being as they understand the difference between
good and bad. In my program following EYLF these children build a healthy interpersonal
relationship among themselves and express their full potential as the relationship builder
(Galbraith, 2017). His help them in their work and play and outshine others. I aim to help the
pupils to develop the feeling of self-worth in the minds of the students so that they do not feel
dependant on others. I promise the children to provide an assistive, productive and peaceful
atmosphere therefore they will be flourished in every aspect yet very much self-disciplined.
Vygotsky has focussed on the literacy part of the development of the children (Nolan
& Raban, 2015). Following his trail, I believe, the early years of the lives of the children are
very busy. I assume therefore, learning is a continuous process at this time and happening all
the time. This is not the only actions focussing on the field of learning but is intertwined in all
the domains of physical as well as mental development of the children. These also include the
development process of social, sensitive, cognitive, responsive and communication.
Therefore, I feel that it is important to make the ongoing learning experience of the children
to be safe, nurturing, positive, and fun based on which the whole world of the child. I attempt
to guide my students into the consecutive stages of personal and educational development. In

this process I want to stay with them and help them to grow confidence in themselves. Thus I
aim to mix personal development with an excitement to the continuous process of learning.
One of the major part in the children’s’ development is the process of becoming
effective communicator. The process of my teaching and guiding my student is very much
involving. Through perfect learning process, the children grow their talent of communication
exactly heat they think. This expression or communication on a particular subject, show their
efficiency of choosing appropriate words to form the sentences they communicate verbally or
in their writings. In this aspect, I want to guide the students to use effective behaviours as
well as actions. Guidelines of responsible as well as sensible behaviour can make the children
conscious of the consequences and values of choices along with actions these children make
(Bush, 2017). In communicating their feelings, the impact of their own decision I believe is
very important. The children therefore need to be given the opportunities for learning from
their choices and provided the opportunity for making their own choices based on personal
learning. Despite the fact that my students will have ample freedom to act as they think but
still I strategies the confines of security for themselves as well as the others. This is because
the students of young ages are easily engrossing by any type of ideas as well as thoughts. In
this time, they need proper guidance for their parents as well as the teachers. In case any of
these two aspects is compromised, the overall growth will be hampered.
Therefore, it can be concluded that as an effective educator, I am committed to
continually extend to strengthen the professional learning of these children in one hand and
support in their overall nurturing and growth of these children. I am very much influenced by
various theorists who have shared their insights so that the educators like us can easily form
our philosophies currently matching with the demand of the time as well as situation. I am
responsible to communicate my knowledge with these children effectively but it is more
important that build an effective relation with their families and community so that the

children can have proper education in their early age and become strong understanding of the
social, psychological, lingual and environmental aspects.
