Goal 1
Time management is one of the aspects which I was not aware if it is important or not.
However, one of the experiences from the course reflected the importance of time
management in completion of the task on time and in more manageable manner. For instance,
I was not able to attend the classes very often. There are various activities to be performed in
order to complete one project, but the priority of completion of each activity may be different
and in case the work is not done as per the priority, it may lead to overall delay of the project
and work. Thus, the short term goal that I decided to accomplish is to improve time
management for attending the course.
The experience of learning time management and experimenting time management included
to study various theories and grids so as to improve the knowledge and experience from time
management. This included a grid based on two variables that is time and priority, which
reflected if the activity is to be considered immediately or can be scheduled after another
activity based on the importance and relevance of the activity (Cottrell, 2015).

After the learning the priority matrix, I could say that I am able to easily prioritizing my work
based on the relevance. this included the attendance and learning from the course. However,
each project and each week has included major new learning’s in the progress of time
management variants. From the experience, it can be reflected that the solution of
mismanaged working hours and problems are time management and personal development.
Thus, it can be said that the pressure and stress of addition working hours could be one of the
major cause for poor work life balance and not able to accomplish the goal on time. Thus the
time management that may include daily logs, plans, and schedule could be helpful in
accomplishing the goal on time and with peace (Dosser & Nicol, 2016).

Another goal that has been considered to important is getting higher score that is 2:1 in
assignment of financial sector and responsibilities and ethics which would be my next
assignment. I have realise that it is important to accomplish my assignment with integrity and
relevance so as to improve my knowledge and learning through the course. For
accomplishing the goals the key activities that I would be performing includes understanding
the objective of next assignment so that the learning could be directed towards the same.
The experience included various learning’s like planning the assignment and scheduling the
same so as to accomplish the assignment with correct and concise manner. Other than this it
included reading the lecture notes and subject knowledge to make information relevant and
appropriate as per the requirements of the assignment.
From the experience the key learning included increase in knowledge pertaining to new terms
from the subject. I am studying accounting and finance so the difficulty level in completing
the task reduced, but there were various terms and knowledge that was new to me and could
be helpful in near future. Other than this, I will spend a major time in initiating and
performing next assignment so as to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the task and take
care of small things so that I do not miss and specific requirement. This also included by
preparing the notes and to do list so that I can cross check if everything has been covered
with due diligence (Duncan, 2015).

Goal 3
My third goal is the employability goal. Considering my long term goal that is to become an
accountant, the initial steps included summer job which could support me my professional
goal. Thus this goal included to boost the employability skills and gain a full time summer
job. For this the first step that I have considered is to identify my strength and weakness so
that I could work on my weakness and gain opportunity in summer jobs.
The outcome from SWOT analysis includes the key strengths that were patience, supportive
and high in empathy. This reflected that I could be a good while working in a team and other
personnel’s in the company with humble and peace. However, some of the weakness that I
have identified within me is lack of confidence and being introvert. For cracking an interview
and perform in a corporate, it is important to have good level of confidence, knowledge and
communication. Thus my goal included to learn and practice the aspects that are my
weakness, so as to minimize them to gain the opportunity in accountant job.
Thus from the experience, it can be said that personal development is one of the major
concern for this goal, which has been initiated. The confidence can be attained or increase
with the practice and experience, which a person is sure about the communication and
knowledge that he is sharing, the confidence level eventually improves. Thus I start taking
part in small activities, where I have to take the initiative and communicate with people. This
has improved my confidence level and also helps in my introvert nature to make it more
towards extrovert. Other than this, group discussion, and taking personality development
class has also been helping in improving the employability skills as that works on body
language as well (Gibson, 2016).
