INTRODUCTION
This report is based on importance of personal and professional development by
formulating personal development plan. Personal development plan is explained as plan
proposed by individual which is based on setting of goals, reflection and planning to achieve
those goals. Personal and professional development is helps individual in preparing for
employability opportunities in current scenario. Personal development plan is one of effective
tool for enhancing skills and personality as it help in setting the path to achieve those skills and
knowledge. Personal development plan also helps in preparing time period to achieve proposed
goals.
TASK 1
Concept of professional and personal development
Personal and professional development is explained as process of developing skills and
knowledge for development of own and to achieve growth in organisation. Professional
development helps in engaging with employability opportunities in current scenario and
individual focuses on developing skills and knowledge which can help in achieving goals and
objectives set for professional growth and personal growth. There are various positive factors of
personal and professional development which are mentioned below:

term goals. Medium-term goals time duration is between 3 to 6 months. I have mentioned my
medium-term goals below;

My medium-term goal is to improve my learnings.
Value of long-term goals by identifying at least 3 personal examples
Long-term goals take more time than short-term and medium-term goals. I have
mentioned below my long-term goals:

My long-term goal is to develop my decision-making skills.

Personal development plan is explained as process in which individual focuses on
developing skills which are mentioned in this plan. This plan is based on the reflection of the
individual and focuses on achieving goals and objectives by including short-term, medium-term
and long-term goals in it (Fodorová, 2017). This plan help in measuring progress of individual in
achieving its goals and objectives. Personal development plan help in enhancing performance of
individual and help in determining future outcomes.
