AC 1.1 Reflection on personal values
As a nurse, I have many personal values that effects on the values and principles of support in
health and social care. These values helps me in addressing the patient more effectively and
efficiently.
 Equity Right: I believe in addressing patient equally irrespective of their culture, religion
and nationality (Calderhead, Denicolo and Day, 2012). The equal right helps in treating
patient equally and efficiently. It helps in development of growth of organisation and also
impacts on the values and principles and supports in health and social care effectively and
efficiently.
 Diversity: I believe in workforce diversity and love to work with different people in the
organisation. It helps in developing of knowledge, skills and competencies in me. Thus, it
impacts on the values and principles and supports in health and social care effectively and
efficiently.
 Confidentiality: As a nurse, I believe in maintaining confidentiality and privacy in the
organisation. It helps in effective growth and development of the organisation and
promotes environment of trust and belief in the organisation. Confidentiality is very
essential in the organisation. It helps in generating positive corporate culture in the
organisation.
 Work Health and Safety: I believe in following rules and regulation regarding work
health and safety in the organisation (Hunzicker, 2011). It helps in increasing the
performance and also protects me from adverse effects. Thus, work health and safety is
very essential in the organisation and aid in growth and development of the organisation.
It effects the consumers and other health care providers in effective and efficient way.

professional when supporting service users effectively. In order to provide effective services,
my job allows me to serve better treatment to the patients. Moreover, I help other health care
professionals in a way that promotes positive work culture in the organisation and also develop
the environment of trust and belief. With positive attitude and good behavioural skills, I have
enhanced my work in a way that helps in addressing different patients effectively. By following
all the rules and regulations, I will be able to treat the patient as well as help other health care
providers effectively and efficiently.
Moreover, I believe in helping everyone, with this nature I have established positive work
culture in the health care institution (Malm, 2009). With the help of other nurses and health care
professionals, I have formulated specific strategies and polices that helps in improving my
performance efficiently and effectively. Now, I can treat patient easily and consider their issues
thoroughly. With the help of effective communication skills and competencies, I communicate
with other health care professionals effectively. This helps in building trust and bond between
the organisation and employees. Thus, helps in effective growth and development of the health
care institution. The personal experience assist in continuous improvement and provides a
benchmark for my future success.

New developments and transformations to personal values impact on work in health and
social care effectively and efficiently. With the help of new techniques and strategies, I have
increase the performance of my work. This helps in growth and development of organisation and
also enhance the treatment of patient. I have developed multiple strategies that reduces the work
load and I can now do work more effectively and efficiently (Stenfors-Hayes and et.al., 2010).
This implies that new developments and changes to personal values can impact on work in health
and social care. Values and principles mean powerful drivers of how we think and behave. These
are often a significant element of culture, where they form a part of the shared rule set of a
group. Every people's personal values and principles influence their work contribution
significantly in health and social care management (Webster-Wright, 2009). There are different
types of values like instrumental values, personal values, political values, social values,
economic values, religious values etc. I have implemented various strategies that aid in
improvement of my overall performance. Thus, aid in growth and development in me effectively.
