Personal Development is the self enhancement of the individual. Through which they get
success in their life. It is the continues process through which individual get new knowledge and
skills. This present report based on personal and professional development. Both the term is very
different from each other professional development defines the developing new skills and talent
into your role in the organization. Besides, personal development means to adopt new skills
which help to enhance the individual competency. Professional development is necessary skills
to carry out the role. Further, in this present report Mark and Spencer company will come into
consider. Individual adopt different professional training to achieve their career goals. It will
explain about the different aspects of personal and professional development they will discuss
about the self management that helps for future development. Furthermore, that personal
evaluation is essential to overcome from its own weaknesses. It will explain the importance of
interpersonal skills which gives more power to compete with the external environment.

1.1 Evaluate approaches to self managed learning.
Self managed is the most important function to analyse he self competency. Self managed
learning approach helps to learn new different things. It gives new strength to the
individual. There are some approaches given below:
Seminars and Conferences: Seminars and workshops are the best source to
getting knowledge and skills (Abraham and et.al 2015). It is a very effective and
efficient tool which gives huge knowledge and career opportunity and attached
with the current scenario. Moreover, seminars and conferences also helps people
to become more self confident to speak in the public area. If company adopt this
theory approach of self managed company will get good aspects of development
and helps to get better decision making approach.
Social Networks: Social Sites is platform where most of the population passes
their information from one person to another. It is the most wanting and
interesting source of learning. Social Networks connect people from many far
places. Many gig organization pass their information and learning process through

their careers. This social aspect of approach will help to adopt better social

theory of self manages is very much effective for M&S to adopt better

managed. Internet gives every knowledge and skills whichever is required. Like
Google Scholar is the biggest research site which contains many articles and
journals which gives information on any topic, such as management studies, risk
management and business studies(Abrahamsson, Salo, Ronkainen and Warsta,
2017). Through which people can acquire the knowledge and adopt some new
skills. By more search on Google they get to learn new things about many other
authors. This approach helps to get any knowledge. Through self managed
individual such as myself can achieve experience to enhance by capabilities. It
helps me for my personal development. This approach will help M&S to make
long network of work through which company can easily assess their operation in
very fast manner with the help of internet.
1.2 Purpose ways in which lifelong learning in personal and professional contexts could be
encouraged.
Personal learning is the continuous process, all about the personal capacity of the person
which helps to contribute to ones professional context. Lifelong learning could give
various opportunities and innovative ways to adopt new changes. This may ehnace
personal as well as professional power to imply changes. In order too knowledge get
enhance personality development and in professional terms this may give new strategy
idea which helps company into development process. It also helps to determine the ways
of self evaluations of strengths and weaknesses and opportunities or threats. My strength
is to get to learn new things which give me new opportunities. I will make things possible
and successful. I am doing some physical activities to mitigate my stress. Furthermore,
weaknesses may be lack of money and recession.

regulations against discrimination. Apart form that employees should be take action against those

and regulations regarding discrimination. So that every employee has know about their rights.
