Personal and development plan consists to the activities which improves self knowledge
and skills of an individual. It is the process by which an organisation and an individual is
engaged with learning in order to meet desired goals and challenges. ; . It is associated with the

assignment which is one of the largest hotels in the UK. The brand has 552 hotels across the
world. In this report, PPD plan is created for an individual at specific position in order to know
the areas where he/she needs to focus on. Various types of self-managed approaches and their
benefits along with own learning aim and objectives are also defined in this report. At last, there
will be a discussion on work based problems and different time management strategies.

There are given following activities and process that is useful in implementation the
personal and professional development plan:- Firstly, an individual or an organisation needs to establish the purpose of any
development activity that needs to be identified. This is done in order to gain awareness
of current standing or position and future potentials of the company. In Hotel Marriott,
managers needs to link their plan to organisational needs as much as possible. Apart from
this, personal and professional development plan also involves development needs of an
individual; this will help to emerge from intended or actual new tasks and responsibilities
(Olsen, 2015). Identification of learning opportunities and formulate the action plan – After that,
managers need to identify their learning skills and knowledge. There are many learning,
such as- education, training and development. This will help an individual in order to
explore his or her abilities and competencies. Apart from this, managers of Hotel Marriott
needs to formulate an action plan in order to set development objectives. These needs to
be SMART: specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and time bound.
