INTRODUCTION
Personal development is requires for every individual in which they learn and acquiring
various skills or knowledges for their career and future benefits. An individual set their targets,
goals, strategies and outcomes regarding training as well as learning with the help of teacher,
mentor and supervisors (Shapiro, 2011). Research may be consider as finding out informations
regarding particular topic in which requires information retrieval skills in which data are
gathered for solving particular problems in an effective manner. This assignment will define
about analysing own skills and strengths or weaknesses for preparing particular research report.
In this conduct appropriate research with formulating plan and use methods as primary and
secondary. This will also prepare a personal and professional development plan by considering
various aspects.
TASK 1
There must be required for every individual that to identify Strengths and weaknesses by
considering several areas so that better development plan can be formulated. Personal and
professional development plan for the purpose of increasing skills or knowledges so that
different task can be completed within certain time period. In this consider an individual
development plan to make better careers and attain goals or targets in more effective manner.
Therefore, every person requires to undertake such study as well as analysis for identifying
particular strengths or weaknesses to get best possible outcomes in more efficient manner. These
are as following:
Strengths:
 As per the analysis I have founded that I can handle the situations in any time if it
occurs while performing any tasks. It has observed when I tackled a critical conditions
by taking those in easy way and make better decision.
 I have research skills as I can found better solutions by gathering informations and using
appropriate tools or techniques so that research can be conducted in well manner
(Wong, 2011).
 I have problems solving skills so I can resolve any conflicts or barriers by making
favourable decisions and try to find ultimate solutions of defining problems in well
manner.

 I can use various technologies while working so I have knowledge about how to utilise
these techniques to make tasks easy in more efficient way.
Weaknesses:
 From the SWOT analysis, I have founded that I cannot present particular topic in well
manner due to lack of presentation skills. It has major impacts on my knowledges.
 I am afraid to talk on front of people due to lower confidence and hesitation which can
harm my productivity as well as interpersonal skills (Stagg and Kimmins, 2012).
 The another weak point of mine is communication skills as I cannot communicate
effectively with people due to lack of language skills that can be create barriers in my
career objectives.
Therefore, I have require to make appropriate plan for improving such weaknesses and
try to become more authentic so that I will be able to achieve my personal goals or objectives.
This can be possible through formulating these particular aims or objectives in an efficient ways
such as:
Objectives
 To Develop presentation skills in one year.
 To improve my communication skills within 3 months for interacting with other persons.
 Try to remove hesitations and interact with every individual so that confidence level can
be increased.
 To analyse situations and try to find ultimate solutions so that problems can be resolved
within limited time period.

In this defined the notes taking skills which is also requires for every individual during
preparing any project report and research so that better informations can be noted in more
effective manner (Thiry, Laursen and Hunter, 2011). This is an essentials for individual as if
they have note taking skills then they will mention various necessary or important data or
information as well as use them whenever required. They can use this in their working contexts
where more informations and data can be gathered and interpret so that individual can summarise
them in broad manner.
Listening skills:

Listening skills play vital role in gathering effective informations and realistic data so
that individual can improve their knowledge and make better decisions in an appropriate manner.
I have considered this skill for memorising the particular things so that I can use these notes at
any time as whenever requires. There are defined various sources for active learning skills such
as:
 During meetings: It is the best method which is beneficial in noting some important
points while conducting such meetings so I used to write necessary information during
discussion so that I can use this in my work. It is helpful concept that always support
me in gathering informations or data in an effective manner as well as at anytime
(Bhatia, 2014)
 Conferences and seminars: In this many of people talk about any particular topic so I
generally consider this for getting more relevant information as they share their views
and point out some data that can be beneficial for future learning. It is also best method
which I follow to write specific informations in an effective manner.
 During lectures: I always attends lectures for learning the necessary things regarding
subjects and gather knowledge by hearing teachers or professors so that I can Improve
my skills and updates knowledges about particular data by pointing out these in the
note books in better ways.
Therefore, these are the sources which I generally use for learning something through
listening various things by experts, teachers and professors. This is beneficial for me to gain
better ideas or knowledges about particular topic so that I can use those to make better decisions
as well as apply them to solve any major problems in more efficient manner.
Reading strategies:
This is another way to make points of necessary informations and write them in particular
note book so that they can be records or maintains in more effective manner. I usually apply this
method whenever I going to present any particular topic on front of people so that they can
understand better and get appropriate knowledges or informations in an effective manner (Gross
and Latham, 2012). There are defined various strategies for writing key points in the note book
such as:
 Books: This is one the best components for getting informations or knowledge as it
always reads books for making appropriate notes so that I can present them on the front

of people. There are number of books available which can be helpful in getting more
information and knowledges so that personal and professionals can be developed by the
individual. Books always support in providing learning outcomes to me so that I can
improve my knowledge and enhance skills.
 Journals: It is another way for writing important aspects and key points regarding any
particular topic or study so that I can prepare a better presentation by acquiring learnings
or effective knowledges through reading in any journals in well manner.
 Articles: There are various aspects from where articles can be reads such as magazines,
new papers, and any other print media so that effective informations can be gained as
well. Articles generally written by experts regarding any particular topic or any title of
project (Gross and Latham, 2012).
 Online blogs: In the present time, I am focusing on online websites, blogs and other
criteria for getting relevant informations. These are very beneficial for providing latests
informations and current data which I point down in the note book and use them in
preparing projects or assignments in well manner.
 Newspapers: I always reads newspapers and get necessary informations so that I can
write them in the note book so that it can be usable for gathering appropriate knowledges
and improve skills in more efficient manner.

In this, I used to make particular notes and records necessary informations so that I can
use them in proper manner. It is necessary to maintain them in more effective way so that they
can be usable or memorise for long time period. It can be said that individual generally learn
more by using notes or records them through writing so that I can revise in better ways.

solutions within defined time period. In this included several methods which are used for
gathering relevant data or appropriate informations so that better decisions can be made in an

best solution method that must be required for improving my presentation, interpersonal and
communication skills so that I can prepare better assignments and increase my knowledges or
skills in more efficient ways.
