3.1 Discuss the processes and activities required to implement the development plan
In order to attain success in my corporate career it is important for me to execute the
above defined personal development plan in suitable and reliable manner. However, I need to
focus on my activities and give suitable time to practice so that areas for improvement can be
addressed in the best possible manner (Hanh, 2004). Along with this, I will take advice from the
experts so that I can find the level of improvement I required to cope up with the current trends
and environment. Being the HR manager the most crucial skills for me is conflict management
skills which will help me in managing the issues and conflicts between employees of Holiday
Inn so that they can get better working environment and carry out work effectively. In addition to
it, for improving my presentation skills it is important for me to attain training and development
sessions so that adequate knowledge I can gain regarding presenting myself in front of my senior
and juniors.
3.2 Undertake and document development activities as planned
Working in such a competitive corporate environment it is essential for me to enhance
my skills and abilities so that future growth opportunities can be encouraged. Along with this, it
is also required for me to undertake varied activities so that I can enhance my current skills and
reach to the target proficiency in reliable and suitable manner (Personal Development -
Techniques, Theories and Opportunities, 2009). Furthermore, I will listen to experts and senior
employees so that I can learn from their experience and allocate my work appropriately. Along
with this, I need to employ time management strategies so that I can manage and carry out my
entire course of functioning on time and deliver the best possible outcomes for the company. By
the means of lifelong learning I can monitor the current skills and abilities so that I can
encourage self-improvement.

Looking at the long term and short learning needs I was able to undertake suitable
activities and approaches which helped in achieving varied range of skills such as
communication, presentation, and team building etc. But considering the current proficiency I
am still unable to achieve certain short and long term goals which are affecting the course of my
functioning. However, I communicate with my colleagues and subordinates effectively but then I
should also need to focus on managing direct communication with my senior managers so that I
