INTRODUCTION
Personal and professional development is necessary for an individual to get success.
Without development, they can't achieve growth in their life (Cheon and et.al., 2018). In health
and social care organization, person has more chances to meet others and learn different skills
from them. Clearstate care is a United Kingdom organization, which offering customised
strategic advisory and treatment. Report will explain person professional or personal values and
its importance in life achievements. It will describe teamwork importance and how an individual
develop their skills while they work with others. Report will discuss about impact of
development changes in their life, role and responsibilities at work place.
TASK 1
PPD 1.1) Comparison personal values and principles with the principles of support for work-
Personal values and principles- Personal values are reflections of person's needs,
requirements and what they care about most in their life.
Principles are fundamental norms, rules or values that represent desirable and positive
aspects for person, group, society and organization.
My personal values and influenced source of it- Respect- I have respect about others feelings and never underestimate myself. I believe
that everyone has right to take their own decision. It shows my feelings towards others
and they come to know my personality. Dignity- It is the right of mine to be valued and respected for own my sake and to be
treated ethically. I never do anything which can ruin my dignity in front of others. Religion- I believe in my god and others religion. I think that we all are equal and our
god is one.
Influenced Source- My education, friends, family background built these values inside me
(Christie and et.al., 2017). I live in such society where we all are respect each other’s and believe
that god is our narrator.

PPD 1.2) Personal culture and experience influence my role in supporting users and others in
health and care-
Personal Culture- Personal culture is where we come from, who we are now and where
now we are going. It’s about what makes us unique, interesting person and it is binding us
between family, friends and nation. I believe to enjoy life with my personal beliefs.
My personal culture- My personal culture is defined by my leisure activities, style of dressing,
family background and individual values. My culture is fun loving, free and it encompasses
moral values.
Influenced factors of my personal culture- My friends and family influenced my culture. They
influence my dressing style, their feedback is very important to me. I always wear impressive
dress in which I feel confident. My way of communication is affected by family background or
friends company. My work place health and social care environment, age, or achievements of
life explain my personal culture.
Personal and work experience- Personal- My life experience about different natured person thought me how to handle
them. Education give me a politeness and humble personality which defined my culture.
Work experience- Working experience in health and social care (Hospital and Medical
Care Association) thought me how to behave with others and every one need a support in
any way (Grant, 2017). We all are human being and require others help.
They both are useable tool for my job responsibilities. From my personal experience, I
learnt that we all are equal and have to do work for each other. They changed my dealing style
with clients and colleagues.
Impact of work experiences- My working life taught me how to behave with other clients or
colleagues. Impact of my experiences on my customers and peers that they find changes in my
working style or communication skill. I was a cruel personality earlier but when I come to know
the value of culture, I started treating other as a human being. My colleagues or clients both are
happy with my behaviour and work. All these changes are the result of my culture or work
experience.

PPD 1.3) Impact of new developments and changes in my personal values on my work-
Meaning of new developments and changes- Change is the law of nature, everything is
existed on this earth when they adopt changes time to time. Development is necessary for
personal values with passing the time. Change and development create a different think, feel and
behaviour inside me. I love my personal values and others also like it too, then I have to develop
my personal values according to situation’s requirements.
Development in health and social care and its impact on my work- Personal
development in health and social care from when I started working with this organization.
During my induction period in this company, I learnt its policies and rules. (Hildebrand, 2018)
It’s my job responsibilities like do work in working hours, give report about day to day activities
to my managers and seniors . Company change regulations and legislations like data protection
act, new care certificate, introduction to replace common induction standard, children care act,
qualifications requirements for top management. All this development increase my work
responsibilities. I have to perform my job with efficiency and honesty. Somebody said that
changes always come with more responsibilities. I work hard to accomplish all work with use of
the newest technologies.
Impact of developments on my personal values and effects on work practice-
Development changed my personal thought process. I come to know that changes is necessary
for personal and professional growth. I work with new techniques and accomplish my targets.
3.2. SSLE) Significant life event experience-
A life-event may consist of any major change in demographic, education, health, death of
spouse and other circumstances located at particular time. When I was 17, I lost my mother due
to her sickness. Her death is the biggest change in my life and I joined a health and social care
organisation. During my working days, I handled a person who lost his loved one and need a
support. A client lost her one leg in a car accident or another one who suffering from cancer. I
liked to spend my time with all three and take care of them. Soon, they felt independent or ready
to accept life challenges. Good things happened when clients' health improved or they were felt
disappointed if they are not good. I support my future clients whenever they need and try to
make them happy.

SSLE 3.3) Recommendations for improving the support-
A life event change individual life like accident, death of loved one etc. Improvements in
health and social care support is necessary time to time. Few recommendations which are good
for organization, a person handle individual client. This kind of care create mutual understanding
between person and patient. Treat them respectfully, care about their dignity, give privacy
whenever they are with friends and family members (Korthagen, 2017). Organization respect
their choices and try to available those things which they prefer. Discuss with clients about care
plan and have a clear or effective communication. It is strictly announced that everyone will
follow care plan, organize staff training at least once in a month. Through these suggestions, I
can create an improved or innovative work environment in care organization.
TASK 2
PP 4.1) Role, responsibilities, accountability-
Role- An expected behaviour related with a specific position or level in
organization and group of people.
Responsibilities- An obligation to satisfy performance or accomplish a task which
is assigned by anyone that must fulfil and has penalty for unsuccessful.
Accountability- The course of action for an individual or organization to account
for its creativity, accept responsibilities and announce results transparently.
Duty- Legal, moral accountability for always and a certain time, to someone who
has right to demand satisfaction.
Job description- I am a supervisor in health and social care and I have to behave according to my
position. I communicate with followers or clients polity and maintain my job dignity. It is my
responsibility that I perform to achieve assign tasks and if I fail to accomplish them, I should be
ready for penalty.
Duty and accountability at workplace- It is my duty that I am legally responsible for my
performance at workstation and supervised my follower’s satisfactory work. I will be
accountable for their performance and client’s satisfaction in health and social care organization.

Com 1.2) Communication in health and social care-
Communication- It is two way process to create mutual understanding, in which persons
not only exchange information, thoughts, and feelings but also share meaning. It connects people
or places to each other. In an organization, it is a key of management.
Methods of communication in health and care- In organization verbal communication is
an effective and meaningful way. Direct communication with clients make them more
comfortable there. It shows caring behaviour or create an impressive organization image.
Communicate with clients and colleagues- At workplace, I communicate with my clients
or colleagues face to face. It makes an impressive impact on them but it is a humble or polite
communication way. For example, if I communicate rudely they do not like to listen me and
avoid my words (Meichenbaum, 2017). They never like to discuss their problems or needs with
me.
Impact- My colleagues and clients will be impressed with my polite communicating way.
They feel free to discuss their issues or clients comfortably and tell me about their disease.
Com 3.1 Use of ICT software packages-
ICT software packages- ICT is used to refer the convergence of visual, audio and
telephone networks with computers network with the help of a single link system. It is concerned
with retrieval, manipulation, and receipt as a proof of digital data. In business, it is categorised as
two products- (1) traditional computer (2) digital communication.
Access of ICT at workplace- It is a beneficial software in health and social care
organization. It maintains all required or necessary information. Firstly, I installed it in my
computer system and login with specific ID or used password to protect it with any theft because
it's a protector of all confidential records. After login with valid password, I enter all important
information and can search any required data.
Use of ICT package in health and care- It is a protractor of confidential documents at
workstation. It is useful as a language translator, MS Office, internet, mails etc. Today's all
technical work is easily done by ICT software packages. I use it to keep clients records and
worker performance in MS-excel.

Com 3.1) Statement-
My colleagues told manager about my communication or work on ICT software
packages. They were impressed by this technique and gave me a chance to represent an
important meeting which shows my skills. I prepared presentation on client’s records year by
year in MS-excel worksheet. Manager appreciated me for my performance and announced in

front of everyone that I have excellent communication skill and is good in ICT software. Their

HS 3.3) Contribution at work place-
Health and safety at Work Act 1974- It is responsible for patient safety at health care
centre. It is their right to have all required facilities.
Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999- This act places duties on
employees, employer including all those who are clients, management, policies contractors, and
designers.
Obligation- According to health act, 1974, me and my employer provide all required
equipment and facilities to clients which are required.
Act at workplace- As a supervisor, I take feedback on specific time period from clients
and provide facilities.
Impact- After implementation of this Act, a safe and healthy environment create at my
work place.
I tried that clients never face any shortage during their treatment. I will appoint a person
who will take care all these things.
PP 4.2) Contribution to the development and implementation-
Policy- It is a principle of action which is adopted or proposed by person and individual
to accomplish task. It's a statement of intent or implemented as a protocol. Policy can assist in
subjective or objective decision making (Nias, 2017). It gives me a clear path to achieve my
work goal.
Organizational policies- Every organization has their own policies to do work properly. Few
are below- Health and safety- In health and social care, safety of clients or employees is necessary.
It is the organization responsibility that they provide a safe and healthy environment to
them. Manual handling- In this organization it is necessary that I handle clients properly and
provide a caring environment where they feel safe.

Policies implement- Policy framing is easy but its implementation is quite difficult. As a
supervisor, I will inform every employee about organization policies and its importance. I also
follow these to set an example in front of followers.
Development and implementation- Firstly, I will read and understand the value of
policies at work place and find this area where it really requires, if it need some changes I’ll give
my ideas.
Impact- Contributions makes impact that when I take interest in policy development and
implementation, my colleagues or followers also understand its value in organization.
PPD 2.1) Skills ability and learning style by SWOT, Honey and Mumford learning style-
Importance of skill audit- It is essential process for measuring and recording the skill of a
person or group. It is important in a company to identify the skill and knowledge which
organization require.
Skills- Self-motivated- It is main skill for a person who want to grow in their personal or
professional life. Time management-Dividing time between two activities is time management skill. It is
important for me to manage my professional or personal work.
Problem solving- It is another skill which come during audit. It encouraged me to
perform well in any difficult situation.
These all skill develop my work style and create a positive attitude in critical condition.
Honey and Mumford learning style- This learning style has four steps- Activists-In this step, activists are those single person who learn by their own work. The
learning activities may be brainstorming, problem solving, puzzles competition, role play
etc. Theorists- In this, learner get a push out of the opportunity to comprehend research
hypothesis behind their all activities. They have need models, ideas and reality with
certain end objectives participate in the learning procedure. Pragmatists- Individual has the ability to perceive how to give learning into practice in
their present real life. Reflectors- In this, single person learn by watching and contemplating what has actually
happened.
