INTRODUCTION
The report aims to analyse own personal development skills and experience in order to
reflect on the learning. This shows that, there will be discussion about the roles and activities of
the key development areas. Personal reflection plays vital role in analysing own strength and
weak points. This shows that, how an individual could make effective practices in self-working
and learning potential. Therefore, it is required to make professional and personal development
through the module (Pugh, and Broome, 2020). This report is going to produce in two parts in
which one is portfolio and second is synthesis. The portfolio will demonstrate how the own
actions will impact on the learning. Also, there will be reflection on key issues and objectives
that have identified from the module.
MAIN BODY
TASK
Personal and professional development
During the learning in university, personal and professional development plays a vital role
for an individual. It is all about learning key skills in order to create an ease in achieve self-goals.
every individual has different skills and potential which makes them different from others. So,
every person has their goals in building personal lifestyle and knowledge. Personal and
professional areas are required to develop for taking growth in overall practice for reflective
assessment (Albrecht, and et.al., 2022). Professionalism is necessary for achieving aims and
objectives in own life goals. This show that, reflective practice is essential for every individual in
order to identify how own weakness and strength can be helpful in deciding career path.
In personal development activities, it is necessary to showcase how the modules and
reflective logs have helped in maintaining group works, keep the objectives maintained are
occupied. In the study unit one, I have learned about the business and management practices to
carry out an organisational function. These practices have impact on analysing how business
works and the skills will help in finding the best practice for performing business. The own
reflection on personal assessment and each unit practice is described below:

areas that may contribute in both positive and negative manner. therefore, this model will
provide an insight about overall activities that went well or needs to be well in future. The
experience which I have took during the module for my personal and professional growth is
presented by applying 6 stage of Gibbs cycle:
Description: As per this stage, there is a detailed description about the overall situation to
gain better underrating about it. when a situation or experience gets analyse in details, all the key
points and factors are collected to provide a better solution. In my personal areas while working
in the module, I first get assignment to prepare in groups. We were divided in a group of 4
people and all the students were from other sections. So, there was first difficulty in getting
introduce with them, know their behaviour and skills for divided assessments tasks. This group
activity took place for 10 days in which I and my team members have started searing for the
topic ion business and management and write down management issues. When we have reached
to 20% of our work, I found that it become difficult to gather different information as everyone
was writing apart from the topic (Chigwedere, and et.al., 2021). I as a team leader needs to guide
everyone for making out project success. After this, we decided to give some extra time to
research and preparing notes for systematically carry out work without any confusion and delays.
This description stage includes the overall journey and experience of my work done as a
reflective practitioner in business and management. As I had experience in the leadership
activities which has shown me the importance of reflective practices. In my experience, I have
faced many problems in analysing issues of team members while finding task and activities.
Every individual has different capabilities and potential that must be find out. For my own
development, I have observed that when I got stuck with any problem my teachers have
supported me by taking feedbacks and face to face conversation. Their main goal is to analyse
what I have going through which is an effective action to come out with my weak points and
strengths to overcome the challenges (Robertson, Le Sueur, and Terblanche, 2020). Therefore, I
observed importance of feedbacks and interactive session in which an individual could freely
talk about their problems and issues for further effective working. It enhances the chances of
eliminating work mistakes and an individual feel confident and motivated for working hard.
Therefore, I have gained this skill which I have used in group work presentation for analysing
issues and behaviour of team member. Therefore, it enables how the team could prepare the
project deliveries that impact upon the variables of the management practices. It includes the

involvement of various personal skills like complexities, volatility, Ambiguity and uncertainty.
Therefore, when we required changing to be happening in the team, the reactive and proactive
skills were required. It includes the level of anxiety and opportunity as well for us.
Feeling: As per this stage, an experience is judged though how an individual felt during the
situation. There are many thoughts and ideas came across during the period of time that has
major impact on working for self-growth and development. For example, in my own experience
for working in assessment within group, I felt scared and under confident when first incident
happened in which all the content gets wasted. I felt disappointed from team members by
working with casual behaviour that resulted in serious mistake. This shows that, all the work
must be finished before deadlines but we were unable to make it possible due to unexpected
delays and lack of control. I also felt nervous about presenting the work in front of the audience
which will have teachers, co-learners and other university students. So, I decided to give time for
the activities and task which have helped me in working deliberately for the team building and
meeting the project deadline (Lane, and Roberts, 2022). When the team started participate in
management practices and learned its value, they took insight of giving support and started
working in management. This shows that my team has not effectively work as were not clear
about initiating the project. I have to make contribution of emotional intelligence in which I
could control on disruptive moods and take unnecessary decisions.
By being a leader and a reflective practitioner, I have developed many skills during the
experience which I felt is important for own career growth. This shows that how an individual
will lead to emphasize on achieving career path by following right activities and areas. I felt
conscious and tensed about the working practice of presentation as I was not making time to
communicate with the team. Due to shortage of days in submitting the project, I noticed that
everyone is getting frustrated and this has not drive any solution for particular task and activity.
So i have to put attention on the roles and activities of each individual to promote good
behaviour and workplace environment. This shows that, There is requirement of key personnel in
the current business market who have potential skills and traits to manage complex business
activities. I observed with my own reflective practice that, self development is the key to take
growth in the future (Chen, and Bergner, 2021). When an individual does not get aware about
own strength and weak areas, they could not be able to work on improving themselves. I also felt
that, it is necessary to implement time frames and leadership activities which assure how to
Document Page
behave in groups and appreciate each individual efforts. While observing the behaviour of my
team member, I felt that they are going through with issues in working due to having less
research skills and finding answer to the case study. When we settled down and collected all the
information for preparing content, it gave relaxation and confidence to prepare presentation and
complete it on time. Therefore, I observed that, a project completion gets critical when the work
is not divided among members. Also, it gets impacted with creating necessary targets to provide
relevant information to the employees.
Evaluation: There are many positive and negative aspects happens during an experience
which needs to be in consideration of an individual. It has evaluated from the overall experience
in my learning that, I have worked with my team members which has gave me much insight
about team building skills. It has also evaluated that positive behaviour leads to emphasize on the
future life goals and targets (Mitina, and Mitin, 2020). Also, the thing that went well is the
contribution of my teachers and peers is helping us to suggest the topics and guide in each and
every work place. Therefore, there is requirement to put focus on developing own skills by
participating in the overall modules and assignment. It was a great opportunity for me to see
myself as a business manager in the next 5 years (ElSayary, 2021). This shows that, how an
individual will lead to create impact on self-assessment. Therefore, it is necessary for the
accomplishment of professional goals for securing better future. It has evaluated that, an
individual come across with many issues in professional and personal development. I analysed
during working the group activity that each team member is required to fulfil their aims and
targets through believing in themselves. many people losses self motivation and control on their
working that results in low confident personality.
Analysis: when I was in my college me and my team members got the project. I can
analysed from that situation that I have build leadership skills that is now helping me a lot in my
job. In that project I was the leader of the team and I got to know that how to lead the actions of
the team towards the accomplishment of the tasks. It has also developed effective
communication skills that how to co-ordinate the plans and the ideas to the team members
through which they can generate more productivity at the workplace (Ferguson, 2018). I have
analysed that it has facilitates me to critically thinks about the situations and effectively manage
all the work. At that time everything went well because al the team members majorly contribute
their own part very carefully and everybody focused on to achieve the goal of the project in a
Document Page
given time. I can assume that every team members got to know that how to carry out the specific
task in a group and how to co-ordinate with each other effectively (Netto, and Silva, 2018).
Everybody now felt that that team project have developed various skills through which they
become able to carry out even the challenging task in a systematic manner. This shows that, how
an individual will be able to analyse their self attitude and behaviour in the management field
and group activities. I have took several steps for working on the position of leaders that will
enable great guidance and motivation among people. For that instance, I decided to take
performance session for each member to help with development of their skills. Also, I analyse
that, regular actions are needed to continuously work on self improvement. This will be able to
showcase how well I can perform among people to inspire and motivate them. I have managed
my work through making time frames and activities which has assured that, it is crucial for the
development of activities which needs to be decided for the self creation aspect. Also, I worked
for developing skills through being informed about my improvements and progress. So that, I am
able to find out where I lack in presenting myself and where I required to be within some time.
Conclusion: It has concluded from own experience though this cycle, the overall experience
provided an insight about being effective in their own personal development (Luzik, and et.al.,
2021). Also, the overall development will be beneficial for achieving career objectives to run a
successful business. I have decided to improve my skills like communication and time
management skills. In the overall conclusion, the experience has gone well but there are some
expectation that required to be met (Richard, Gagnon, and Careau, 2019). I did not want to
loose the interpersonal connection with team and find their problems. Therefore, I have managed
to work with my aim and objectives that will show me a clear path about my journey. I wanted
to take own development through reflective piece and focus on weak factors for future success in
my career.
Action plan: Action plan are simple list of all task that you need to finish to meet an goal.
They are different from to do lists in they focus on achievement of a single goal. These plans are
useful because they give a framework for thinking about how project will be completed
efficiently. The skills in action plan discussed as communication skills which need to be
developed by an firm for an employee by proper training and guidance in the duration of 2 to 3
months of time. It will help in gaining engagement and coordination in the work force
(Kiessling, and et.al., 2021). The technical skill is discussed in action plan which need to be

with help of technical tools. This skills need an average duration of 2 to 4 months of time. Time
management skill is developed by an individual through proper guideline and experience of
employee in work environment and practice (Ziebart, and MacDermid, 2019). This helps in
effectiveness of work and efficiency with development in time of 1 to 2 months for an person.

Review. Describe the experience (event/meeting/encounter/situation or occurrence). What
happened? Try to describe this as objectively as you can – as though you were seeing it from the
outside. What was the impact on others and the environment?
The experience undertaken by learning from the units is that it provided a lot of
knowledge regarding the business and management for own professional development. An event
occurred during the unit learning session in which the team presentation is the task for business
cases. The team was divided in a group of 4 people that has shown an individual behaviour for
the acknowledgement of the practices. We were sat down in the group sessions which enable that
all the working practices in an effective manner. Therefore, this event was happened during the
university time when the assignments were continuously flowing and needed to be done before
the deadline. Therefore, it enables how the team could prepare the project deliveries that impact
upon the variables of the management practices. It includes the involvement of various personal
skills like complexities, volatility, Ambiguity and uncertainty. Therefore, when we required
changing to be happening in the team, the reactive and proactive skills were required. It includes
the level of anxiety and opportunity as well for us.
React. Now go ‘inside’ the experience and ask yourself: how did I react? What did I say or do
and how did I feel? How did that impact on others and the environment?
In the assessment of group presentation, it has shown that I felt quite nervous and quite
confused as to where to start the project. This shows that, in order to analyse the seriousness of
the project deliveries which needs to end in an effective manner. While working in the
presentation, I have divided each task into the group by learning about their specialised area to
divide the work accordingly. This shows that my team has not effectively work as were not clear
