Academic Skills play a significant role in life of a student. An individual should work on
the skills and formulae personal and professional development plan that helps to develop the
skills (Mason and et.al., 2017). Afterwards short term, medium term and long term goals are
discussed in this report. In the end the sources that are being used in the report.

PDP is a process that helps the individual to get engaged in the learning process. There
are several challenges that are part of learning process. It helps to meet the desired goals in an
effective manner. It emphasises on developing career of the individual. It helps to check the
performance of individuals and improvise the areas that are weak (Hildebrand, 2018). It is
important for an individual to focus on personal and professional development as it helps to
choose right career and achieve it successfully. It is important to set goals and objectives then
make efforts to achieve them with the set of actions. It helps in self-growth of the person so that
the desired tasks are achieved on time.
Value of short term goals and 3 personal examples
These are the goals that are set by an individual. They are generally necessary to achieve
the medium term goals. They are set for 1 year time period. These goals show what a person
wants to achieve in near future (Demir, 2017). These goals help to stay motivated and work with
confidence. My short term goals are as follows:
I want to enhance my confidence level.
I want to complete the work on time
I need to enhance my focus on the things that I do.
