Personal development is the process of assessing the skills and qualities of an individual
with the consideration of their aims and goals and professional development refers to the training
and development of an individual with the help of eduction and certificate(Geraci and Thigpen,
2017). An individual is required specific skills for the specific task or may need some additional
skills for future actions. This report will cover the concept of personal and professional
development and also analyse the values of short-term, medium-term and long term goals.
Furthermore, It will analyse the value of personal development plan by using identified goals.

Personal development is the process of enhancing the skills and qualities of an individual
so that they can work with a right approach. An individual can get the high career opportunities
by having good command on their skills and capabilities. It will make unique personality of an
individual in the society. Professional development is the process of putting the person in
learning and eduction with the help of various certification in a specific field. Each job require
different skills and may be need some specific skills in future. These personal and professional
development will help in overall enhancement of an individual that will help in achieving their
goals and achieve more success.

A short term goals is some thing that an individual wants to achieve in the near future. It
means today or may be this year. These are the gaols which an individual want to achieve soon
so that it will give the pathway to complete the particular task(Cetin and et. al., 2018). It is the
aspect which take me to the long term goal. It will me in managing my time in various task and
accomplishment of task will be done in an appropriate manner. It seems small and can be easily
achieve but it is take dedication and determination in accomplishment of short-term goals. I have
planed a short-term goals that give me the direction of accomplishing of long-term goals. There
are various factors which explain the values of short-term goals:

need to accomplish at least 3 to 5 year. In this time. To obtain the long term goal there is need to
follow some values which can help to make possible all the goals. The description of these
values are given below- Integrity – To obtain a specific goal for the loge time period need more integrity and
concerned. This is consider the most important value for long term goal that mainly help
to keep some patience so that I can easily stick with my long term goal. Respect - This is also a effective value to set the goal for the longer period of time. I
need to show some respect that will help me to give importance to my goal so that I will
feel more motivated and inspired. Leadership- To accomplish a long term goal, it is very necessary to have good
leadership quality. With the help of this leadership I can easily balance all aspects related
to my long term goal. Through good leadership quality I will remove all the roadblocks
which affect my decision about the goal. Responsibility – This is also a effective core value to achieve the long term goal. I need
to take responsibility by my own so that I can easily follow all the rules and regulations
which are necessary to obtain the long term goal because to obtain the long term goal is a
big achievement so it is necessary to feel responsible toward my goals.

big restaurant which will serve health food for the people. So this is comes under my long
term goal. To take good education will help me to provide proper knowledge about the
hotel sector.
Become a Motivational Leader - I want to become a effective motivational leader so that
I can motivate myself and also my family members and friends. I consider it as my long
term goal and I will try to fulfil this goal and I will give my best efforts to accomplish
