INTRODUCTION
This presentation is all about the personal and professional development with a career
planning. The following discussion is based on the professional field of interest along with the
reason behind choosing the field and reason behind achieving the field. Identify the
competencies and qualities according to the professional field chosen. Career planning is
discussed which includes the swot analysis along with the career graph, long term goals, short
term goals and how it can be achieved. Discussion on identification of challenges and how to
overcome with the help of strength. Professional field chosen is the international business and
wants to open a small business in context of importing handmade rattan toys, furniture and other
rattan products from Asia-Bali and selling them worldwide with proper findings and conclusion.

Professional field
International business can be defined as the import and export of the goods, services,
technology and capital knowledge across different countries at a global scale. It includes the
cross-border transactions among goods and services between multiple countries. It is also known
as globalisation (Buckley, Enderwick and Cross, 2018).
Reason behind choosing the field
The reason behind choosing this field is that I have the keen interest in international
business and I want to make my career in business of trading of rattan toys and furniture’s across
the borders so that I can contribute in the nation's economy (Ghauri, Strange and Cooke, 2021).
Reason behind achieving the field
The reason behind achieving the field of international business is that it will expose the
person into experiences on a global scale. it will help to better understand the different types of
cultures and markets along with the geographies. Unique perspective of the global knowledge
can give the advantage to the employers which can support the business in making critical
decisions (Ferraro, 2021).

According to the field chosen by me, list of my strengths are that that I have the good
knowledge of business on a global basis and have the management knowledge to pursue the
operations to start and handle the business functioning (Rao, 2021).
Weaknesses
According to the field chosen by me, list of my weaknesses are that I have the low
knowledge of accounting and that is by financial management can become the hindrance in
pursuing the business.
Opportunities
According to the field chosen by me, list of my opportunities can be e that I can take the
professional courses for financial management and execute the learnings in my practical business
of rattan toys and furniture’s (Peterson, Arregle and Martin, 2020).
Threats
According to the field chosen by me, list of my threats can be the laws and regulations
imposed on importing and exporting of the goods and services across the Nations because it
requires a lot of formalities to complete in order to pursue the international business
(Hrechyshkina and Samakhavets, 2019).
Career graph or map
My career path States the whole journey of my career planning to pursue the international
business management in order to open my small business in the rattan toys and furniture’s in
order to render the products and services to the customers (Poulis and Poulis, 2018). It will all
start by choosing the domains in the international business which are of high importance to
perform in order to be successful in importing and exporting across the Nations. These domains

are the management analyst, marketing manager, executive, human resource manager, financial
analyst, economist and policy analyst. these are the major domains in which it is essential to get
proficiency in order to get successful in the international business. Therefore, my career path
states that first I will pursue the proper education and learnings of these domains along with the
certifications. then I will join the multinational company in order to gain experience about the
management that how the management is done in all such domains so that the international
business can be effective and efficient to implement and execute. After taking the experience, I
will start my small business to import and export the rattan toys and furniture’s across the
Nations by fulfilling all the formalities required as per the laws and regulations. Then I'll finally
practice my international business on my chosen career plan (Hamilton and Webster, 2018).
Long term goals
My long term goals in my chosen field are listed such as I want to open a small business
in context of rattan toys and furniture’s and sell them from Asia and Bali two different countries
in the world (Buckley and Casson, 2019).
Short term goals
My short term goals in my chosen field are listed such as I have to be proficient in all my
management and operation skills so that I can handle the finance and other departments of the
business in an efficient manner.
How it can be achieved
My goals can be achieved when I pursue the course of international business management
in the domain of toys and furniture’s areas which can give some experience so that it can help in
my personal business in future by making use and considering my skills in my own business
(Srivastava, Singh and Dhir, 2020).
Identification of challenges
There are lots of challenges which I can face while moving on my career path such as
choosing the best institution for study and best company for gaining the experience.

How to overcome with the help of strengths
It is important to overcome the challenges which are hindering in my career planning such
as I have the strength of knowledge of operations and Management skills that I can move to the
institution where proficiency must be there of other fields so that I can become proficient in other
fields of international business and in other domain as well such as financial and human resource
department as well.
CONCLUSION
It is concluded that it is important to analyze the personal and professional development of
oneself so that following the career path can be easy therefore it is important to analyze the
professional field of interest and the reason behind it. It is essential to examine the competencies
and qualities needed to achieve the shows in professional field. It is necessary to determine the
career planning along with the swot analysis, long term goals and short term goals and how it can
be achieved. It is significant to gain the knowledge about the challenges and how to overcome
with the help of strength. Hence this presentation covers all such areas in order to better
understand the conception of personal and professional development.
