INTRODUCTION
Personal and professional development is the improvement in the personal qualities,
technical skill that increase the performance level of individual person and its capability for
boosting career progression and development. In this report, the main focus is on communication
skill, research skill, teamwork skill that helped me in completing project in timely manner. In
this assignment, Gibbs reflective cycle or Kolb’s experiential learning cycle model is adopted for
identifying the area for improvement or strength such a good communication skill, teamwork
skills that helped me in completing my project in timely manner. It is necessary for individual
person to improve employability skill in order to increase ability of performance while
performing job in an appropriate manner. Hence, it has been analysed that there is a different
kind of skills which is needed by an individual person to grip opportunities in its career and
increase capability for completion of goal and objective in an effective manner (Forte and
Blouin, 2016).
MAIN BODY
It is important for individual person to improve communication skill, research skill, time
management, and problem solving skill and many more in order to make good relationship with
other person within business organisation. Therefore, herein, I adopt Gibbs reflective model for
improving my skills that is going to be mentioned below:
Gibbs reflective cycle it is considered as a framework that is adopted to consider or
explain learning which is linked to performance some particular task in an appropriate manner.
This model was given by Graham Gibbs in the year of 1988. Herein, there is a discussion
regarding various knowledge, skills or talent that is needed to conduct task and increase
experience of an individual person in various stages. This assignment assists in increasing
knowledge regarding how to improve skill in order to perform task in an appropriate manner.
There are different kind of stages in this model that is given below in context of employability
skill, communication skill and many more.
Description this model provides a description regarding the activity or function that is
performed by an individual person while conducting their work in specific situation. Herein, it is
necessary to improve my different skills such as communication skill, Team Management skill
that is helpful for me in future period of time. It is necessary for me to improve my time

management skills in order to complete project in timely manner. And it is also helpful in
maintaining superior relation with other person in order to co-ordinate with one another in an
appropriate manner.
Feelings in the second steps of Gibbs reflective model provide the discussion regarding the
feeling of an individual person by conducting various tasks in different situation or
circumstances. In the beginning of presentation, the feeling connected to presentation is good
and I'm excited to take the responsibility in order to complete the project in timely manner.
Therefore, herein I am focusing on increasing my performance level by improving different
skills that helps in interacting with other team member in an appropriate manner (Garanina and
Maltseva, 2016).
Evaluation in this step of Gibbs reflective model, the individual person focuses on
assessing various circumstances in both favourable and adverse manner. In context of present
presentation, the full experience is considered as a moderate. This presentation assists me in
enhancing my communication skill by regular involvement in various tasks or circumstances. It
is also analysed that it helped me in maintaining professional so that I can manage everything
within business organisation by resolving problems and enhance my skills that is connected to
various aspects of specific situation. It also helps me in achieving goals as well as objective in
timely manner.
Conclusion it is determined as a fourth step of this model focuses on analysing ability and
enhance information regarding different region that assists me to pick up situations in future
period of time. Therefore, it is necessary for me to increase critical skill or research skill that is
useful in future period of time.
Activity plan it is considered as the last step of this model and it is necessary or important
activity that is generated for enhancing job opportunity in future period of time. It has been
analysed by me that advancement in aptitude of employability help me in performing my work in
an appropriate manner (Khan and Du, 2017).
In addition to this model, Kolb’s reflective model is adopted for enhancing skill that is
going to be mentioned below:

According to this model, it determines that reflection is significant for learning process.
By using reflection, it is easy to revise learning skill that is increased by past experience. There

are various stages which is used for enhancing skill and knowledge that is going to be mentioned

Concrete it involves innovative method that assists me in performing my work in an
appropriate manner. It helps me in observing various situations or circumstances while taking
superior decision.
Reflective herein, I re-revise my experience level and analysing whether it is considered
as a superior for me or not.
Abstract conceptualisation it determines that I linked to my experience level that help
in analysing expecting results.
Active experimentation it is determined as a final step through which I analyse my past
experience is adopted it in future experience that is helpful for me. This model is used for
increasing the learning skill by using past experience that is helpful for me in taking appropriate
decisions during particular phase of time period (Song, 2016).
CONCLUSION
On the basis of above mentioned report, it has been analysed that it is necessary to have
good communication skills for completing the project in timely manner. It is helpful for me to
have a good communication skills that helped me in communicate with other person in an
appropriate manner. In this report Gibbs reflective cycle and Kolb’s model is used for
improvement in quality. Personal as well as professional development is determined as a whole
improvement process of an individual person for success of an organisation. It is necessary for
individual person to improve employability skill in order to increase ability of performance while
performing job in an appropriate manner.
