Task One:
Concept of personal and professional development
The concept of personal and professional development of an individual or organisation is
mainly related with the process that is used to effectively engage in the learning process along
with meeting all challenges for achievement and accomplishment of desire goal (Ohm, 2020).
The main benefit and purpose of personal and professional development plan is to develop new
skill, better knowledge and enhanced experience along with strengthen of current skills and
knowledge.
Value of short term goals
The short terms goals mainly comprises of small targets that an individuals want to achieve
in near future i.e. in a day, week or month. Thus, short terms goals are valuable as the clearly
define the path to success and allow the focus on one thing to keep an individual motivated for
better efficiency in plans. For example, Building an effective morning routing is my first short
term goal along with making better connections and relationship with my mentor through
developing my communication skill .Beside this effective management of my time is also set out
as a shirt term goal (Coldwell and et. al., 2017).
Value of medium term goals
Medium term goals are mainly are a bit longer than short term goals and could be achieved
in next 2-3 week or couples of month. Medium term goals are important and valuable to fill the
gap between the short and long term goals and along set out a coordination between these two to
ensures better achievement and accomplishment of desired targets in better way. The Medium
term goal that is needs to achieve by me comprises of a having regularity in my work through
staying resilient. Further, having development in my time management skill is also one of my
medium term target to set a proper routine and balance between study and time to relax. Further,
staying positive and relax is also an example of medium term goal for better accomplishment of
longer strategies (Tarchi, 2020).
Value of long term goals
A long term goals are ones that require deep planning and sufficient time for their
accomplishment usually at least 6 months to 1 or more year. Long term goals are valuable as
they create a longer term motivation in an individual for self improvement and enhanced skills to

strive with objectives (Wu, Xu and Zhang, 2018). For examples, mu longer tem gaols comprises
of having better development of my leadership skills that is valuable for me through leading
improvement in my employability skills Further, better management of time and enhanced
communication also endures and leads to better future opportunity that would be supported by
leadership sill to get better career opportunity in future.
Value of a Personal Development Plan and construct an example
Personal development plan is valuable for an individual as it helps an individual to
effectively plan their career and build in better skills along with learning something new and
improved to have higher career.
