Academic skills are the abilities that enable people to become proficient learners. These
abilities help children gain the confidence they need to participate in competitive activities

TASK ONE
(1) Define Personal and Professional Development
Personal development is the process of improving one's abilities and knowledge in order
to improve one's quality of life. It assists in achieving life's desired goals by proper career
planning, which includes education, employment, and other factors. It also maximises one's
ability to live a fulfilling life.
Professional Development, on the other hand, attempts to improve relevant skills and
knowledge in order to increase workplace efficiency and effectiveness. It highlights the areas
that require improvement. As a result of these advances, individuals have experienced long-term
success and growth.
(2) Short Term Goals along with Illustrations
As previously said, creating goals is a critical step in achieving them successfully. These
are commonly referred to as short-term goals, as their length is likely to be limited for a year or
less. These objectives boost morale and competitive spirit, maximising the possibility to achieve
objectives for long- term. The following are the short-term objectives that must be inherited:
Inheriting time management skills
Eliminating stress and work pressure
Achieving interpersonal skills
(3) Medium Term Goals along with Illustrations
Medium-term goals are those that must be accomplished within period of 18 months to 3
years. These objectives must be closely monitored in order to preserve their high quality;
