INTRODUCTION
An employability and academic skills are become the most essential part of every
individuals life. To achieve some particular gaols and objectives, there are so many skills which
must be present to utilise one's talent. Everyone has their own career objective and future
expectation for which, there is requirement of self evaluation which helps in identifying which
skills are yet to be developed. This report is going to focus on skills and knowledge which is
required to be an innovator (Kroll, and Dussias, 2017). Simply, it evaluates how to be an
innovative thinker, developer and performer to achieve organisational goals. The report will
outline PPD process and application upon own areas of development. This process carry out
activities which is required to present what skills are required, how it will achieve and time
duration. Also, there will be reflection on all the work done which will analyse own strength and
weaknesses. It demonstrate how an individual look for inner development and focus on
enhancement of knowledge through indulging In practices. The report will present opportunities
which will be helpful to develop potential capabilities to be an innovator and carry out futuristic
goals in desired manner.

TASK 1
Define PPD
Personal and professional development is an activity to reflect and analyse own areas of
improvement which is require to achieve desired goals. Personal development refers to those
skills which enhance knowledge and work potential to complete task and be able to present
contribution in employee working. Professional development refers to those acts which enhance
the working criteria in professional manner. An employee while working in organisation must
follow professional standards to initiate others and maintain organisation decorum.
Process of PPD development: The process of personal development defines the area of
activities which required to achieve in various aspects of life. For making good personal
development, an individual needs to identify inner self by engaging in various activities
performed at educational level (Pugh, and Broome, 2020). This will better demonstrate which
skill required much improvement, as to be an innovator, there is requirement of critical thinking
skills, knowledge of vast areas and interest in understanding new knowledge which boost

general awareness. An innovator must think beyond a normal level and comes up with out of the
box concept. So that, to analyse what could be e innovative, there must be good research skills
present to analyse and evaluate what is good and bad.
The process involves first identification of personal development skills which are
required to achieve particular objective in area of interests. As to be an innovator,
communication, interpersonal, problem solving, self confidence and adaptability skills are
necessary to present thoughts and ideas in front of others. Make relations to enhance knowledge
and gain something new everyday (Howard, and Eddy‐Imishue, 2020). Also, be confident while
taking decisions. An innovator not only works for thinking initiative product or service else
innovative marketing strategies. But it could apply its innovative mind for solving business
problems, guide and provide opinion whenever stuck with so hurdles.
The theories of personal performance development are based on creating a personality
which is accountable to be an employee (Davies, Curtin, and Robson, 2017). To be an
innovator, there is need of self attitude and superiority to think beyond the concept. As
innovators do not settle for less and always focus on thinking out of the bx concept. Therefore,
there requires development of personality and self confidence in own thoughts and ideas. Also,
it is required to be ready to face risk and handle complex situation as innovation may lead to
failure which will lowers down self motivation. It is require to look forward for achieving
objective and remain dedicated towards gaols.
Reflection
I feel privileged to work on won personal development. As it synthesise and add
something new to may knowledge. I want to be an innovator in order to work in an innovation
enterprise and achieve my career goals (Knight, and Newby, 2019). After analysing process of
personal and professional development, I need to work on improving my research skills which
will help me to think unique from others. I must have knowledge about all the field through
which I could possible make a new solution to problems. For that instance, there are a lot of
opportunities which will help me to boost my skills such as take participation in college debates,
speeches that enhance communication skills. Research on business projects, talk to more people
and awake inner curiosity to know every little concept (Ragan, 2018). I need to start reading
newspaper daily and be aware about what happening around the world. Also, I must have good
time management skills to opt market opportunities as earliest as possible. It is a sign of good

professional trait to maintain organisation environment. In addition to this, leadership skills are
also necessary as everyone does not have same perspective. so that, I have to be patience and
wise in my words to influence others and able peers support.
CONCLUSION
The report has concluded that personal and professional development are required for an
individual to achieve self actualisation gaols. In order to be creative and think concepts apart
form others, there are many skills which must be present in an individuals. Some of these skills
are communication, interpersonal, research and time management, self confidence and
adaptability. All these skills will be helpful to attain professionalism and helps in think
innovatively. Therefore, it is ascertained that a person must be confident and strict towards own
passion to present own thoughts and viewpoints. There are various concepts which must be
utilised under futuristic goals. It is must to analyse and improve skills which helps in being an
innovative thinker and carry out workplace activities.
