INTRODUCTION
It is essential for each and every person to increase as well as improve their employability skills
properly because through that they able to accomplish their work in most effective as well as
proper way which provide opportunity to grow career successfully. In addition to this personal
and professional development is essential for every individual as by it they able to increase their
several skills, capabilities, abilities as well as performance which help them in attaining career
objectives successfully (Bennett-Levy, 2019). The primary objective of conducting this report is
to develop understanding of importance of employability and study skills for a person. In respect
of this topics will include in report are based on the reflection as well as it also include models
for the better understanding of experiences such as Gibbs reflection model.

Personal and professional develop is determined as a process or method through which a
person able to enhance or improve their abilities, skills, knowledge and capabilities that aid them
in accomplishing work in most effective way so that they attain wanted goal impressively. In
addition to this, for an individual it is essential that they must develop plan for enhancing their
personal and professional skills as by it they can accomplish their given task properly as well as
it also minimize errors and time requirement (Carpenter and et. al., 2019). This will also help in
developing as well as maintaining a successful career as through these skills a person able to
conduct allotted task effectively with minimum or no errors. Along with this, it also helps in
developing an effective career where they get huge numbers of growth opportunities
successfully. The personal and professional skills will include numbers of skills such as research

skill, skill for using information technology, understanding skill, team development skill, time
and self management skill, problems solving skill, communication skill in both written as well as
verbal form and many more (McDonagh and et. al., 2019). These are skills which a person needs
to develop for conducting project effectively and successfully which help in career growth.
While leading this undertaking which depends on corporate social duties me ready to
dissect my aptitudes and capacities. I was likewise ready to realize that a portion of my aptitudes
can be signified as qualities while some are my shortcoming and I have to improve them. This is
so in light of the fact that through that I ready to direct my work or undertaking appropriately
later on. From every one of these aptitudes my quality abilities are correspondence both verbal
just as composed, collaboration and critical thinking aptitudes. This I become more acquainted
with when I began leading work in a group I establish that I viably impart or cooperate with
others just as me appropriately ready to cause others to comprehend what I need to state. In
addition, my other group's individuals likewise assess me for my aptitudes that I adequately
speak with them just as they additionally reveal to me that they like to impart their inclination to
me. This show I additionally have an appropriate group working aptitudes as I appropriately
collaborate with individuals just as I likewise take proposal from them and I additionally
evaluate them when I like their point of view on any subject. Alongside this, I likewise
comprehend issues of my colleagues just as I additionally give them proper proposal to beat
issues which they are confronting, because of my aptitude my colleagues value me and they like
to impart their issues to me. This is so in light of the fact that they accept that I will give them
powerful just as suitable guidance for settling issues successfully.
On the other perspective, I have several skills that are seems to be my weaknesses such as
my research skills, I also not able to use information technology properly as well as my time and
self management skills is also not proper. These skills are my weak points because it leads to
limitation when I conduct work, I get to know about my weak skills when I am collecting
information related to the topic because I am not able to get proper information as well as I also
not able to understand what to type for gathering specific information. Moreover due to this lack
skill I am not able to gather authenticate as well as reliable information related to topic.
Moreover, once I as well as my teammates is making power point presentation for the respective
project at that time I realize that I am also weak in this skill because I am not able to operate the
software in effective manner. in addition to this while conducting the project I determines that I

am bad in time as well as self management activities because when I get the work I am not able
to accomplish it in proper allotted time as well as I also not able to do self management activities
in effective way. So by determining my weak skills I will able to develop proper strategies as
well as plan through which I can enhance or improve my personal and professional skills in
effective manner.
Moreover, in the respective project I decided to use different models and theories so that I
can properly analyze my experienced which I faced while developing the project. In this I can
use different theories such as Gibbs reflective model, Kolb’s learning model and so on so that I
can conduct evaluation properly and effectively. From all I decide to use Gibbs reflective model
that is introduced by Graham Gibbs who is an American Sociologist as well as Psychologist and
he developed respective model in year 1988 (Rockman, 2019). The respective model is generally
adopted by a person for determining as well as evaluating own experience in a particular
situation or event or project. This theory is consisting of several different stages which provide
information and help a person in evaluating their experienced in most effective manner so that
they can develop specific conclusion of outcome effectively. This will also help in developing
strategies and plans which help in enhance skills as well as capabilities for the career growth.
The stages of Gibbs reflective model is given below:-
 Description – At this stage a person will determine and evaluate their overall experience
including good as well as bad which they generally experience while conducting specific
work. In respect of my experience, once I allotted the work in a group for conducting
corporate social responsibility project. So while I am working in team, my team
supervisor recognizes that I have strong communication as well as leadership skills that
will help in career growth. but along with this have some weak skills such as research,
information technology and so on and that I need to enhance so that I can attain my desire
goal successfully.
 Feeling – The respective stage is related to laying down the all feeling which is faced by
an individual while conducting a specific project. In relation to my project which is
related to CSR, I get responsibility and role of team leader at my initial stage as well as at
this time I feel happy. In this stage my good skills like communication help me in
interacting with team members effectively. On the other hand I feel bad that I have some
weak skills so for that i need to develop plans so that I can improve it properly.

 Evaluate – This stage enrols the great and awful things identified with a task. In such
manner, I have understood that my solid correspondence and group working abilities
were very helpful in setting coordination between the individuals from the gathering.
Further, ICT was utilized by me to gather data from a wide scope of substantial and solid
sources. Time the board abilities of mine helped me just as the group in appropriately
presenting the undertaking before the cut-off time. While this I evaluated the methods
through which I can enhance my skills such as I can attain classes or workshops, I can
also conduct training under professional person and many more.
 Conclusion – In this stage I will conduct evaluation of whole experience and determine
my weak as well as strong skills which help me in project. I determined that my weak
skills are research, information technology and many more. On the other hand my
strength skills are communication, problem solving, and team working, and so on. In
respect of my weak skills by conducting classes and training I will able to develop my
skills which help in attaining my desire career goal successfully.
 Action plan – The last stage is related to the development of strategies through which a
person able to improve their weak skills such as i can attain classes or workshops for
enhancing my weak skills successfully. In respect of action plan which I select to
enhance my skill is that I will attain online classes as well as I attain training session
where I can get more effective practical knowledge.
CONCLUSION
Through the evaluation of above mentioned points it can be summarized that for a person
it is essential to opt personal and professional development plans on regular basis because that
will help them in developing a successful career. In addition to this by adopting and developing
employability as well as study skills a person able to able to attain desire goal as they how to
conduct specific work in the most appropriate manner as well as in minimum time and resources.
Moreover, developments of these skills also help in attaining the desire goal as well as objectives
in effective manner. a person need to have numbers of skills for a successful career such as
research skills, communication skills, understanding skills, problem solving skills, verbal and
written skills, team work skills, time as well as self management skills, information technology

skills and many more. So it is essential to develop all these skills so that a person attains their
desire target or goal impressively.
