Personal and Professional skills is considered to be those set of skills that is being used in
order to develop personal and professional development in relation to interpersonal skills. These
skills also addresses soft skills that make development of individual it is helpful in making them

and makes growth possible(Kaowiwattanakul, 2016). In this mindset changes according to the
life and these are the situation which is being faced according to the willingness of learning and
making an individual a better human being. This is the way as per which people is to assess skills
and qualities, considering aims in life and set goals to realise and maximise potential. There are
various example of dependability, adaptability, motivation and analytical skills. Professional
development is refereed to continuation and going in training with education of persons in
regards to career and further goal achievement is made. The goal of professional development
that is to keep individual fully up dated with skills to enhance performance as per the task
assigned with duties. Also in this professional development is there to enable in keeping people
upgraded with current trends. It makes developing skills for the purpose of advancement in field
with respective career industry .
Professional development is basically used to renew certification and licenses that helps in
ensuring individual in developing skills as per the standard with policies. Person typically
pursue professional development within there own wish through programs offered by
educational institution, professional organization and most commonly by employers under whom
they are working. Personal and professional development is aim with the help of individual in
managing effectiveness in increasing learning and making growth with career to seek higher
position within workplace which enhances skills by grabbing more and more career

opportunities. This is an ongoing process which individual to manage and increase learnings with

SWOT Analysis
SWOT analysis is a framework that has been used to develop strength, weakness,
opportunities and threats. Framework or model is used to analyse and evaluate over further
making changes within it. That is the reason I have used SWOT for analysing framework in
order to conduct self evaluation in which I will be making emphasis over my personal strengths
and weaknesses . I have developed both personal and professional aspects in it. My SWOT
analysis is presented underneath in context to my current proficiencies and future needs for
development.

Potential problem from PDP plan
In order to develop effective team skills I analysed that I am lacking behind due to trust
and this created conflicts and mismanagement within team. This is the prominent challenge
which is bothering me as this creates lesser transparency within team and team goals due to
which poor change management can be rendered within career. Teams are playing effective role
in managing the whole organisation and due to this I am required to intensify my team
management skills. During developing my team building skills I kept short term objective which
created hurdles for me. In order to deal with this problem I am required to keep long term vision
as team management skills is one of the vital skill which is required by an individual in order to
keep appropriate insight.
Another problem is associated with academic writing skills in which I am required to
undertake various classes in order to enhance writing skills. In this I was required to focus on

framing sentences which is a tough task for me and I struggled a lot in this. It was a difficult task
for me to deal with levels of writing skills and to gather required material in that so this created
barrier in my development path. Besides this as for attaining successful career this is required to
have appropriate writing skills as individual is needed to draft various mails to parties associated
to the business in their job tenure so this would lead in creation of barrier in the presence of
improper writing skills. In order to manage this challenge I undertook step wise development
class which was associated with teaching style that is upgraded by examining individuals calibre.
This helped me in gaining various insight of academic writing in prominent manner.
Besides this during PDP plan I emphasised over enhancing my communication and IT
skills in which I have undertaken various classes which helped me to develop my communication
skills. For developing communication skills I attended various seminars and the major problem
faced during PDP plan was related to selection of seminars and in this way I faced problem in
undergoing to various seminars sessions. As I am hesitate in communicating with people and
during those seminars was highly emphasised on direct communication so this was not beneficial
for me to exhibit development.
In order to deal with problem solving I arranged various sessions in which I dealt with
varied problem as these are required to have direct impact over career of an individual. In
developing my problems solving skills I analysed that I am weak in analysing problems and
during PDP plan I faced problem in meeting those standards which are required within career.
Besides this as this a proven fact that problem solving skills are one of the prominent aspect
which is required in order have an enlightened career.
Besides this in order to develop employability skills there are various aspects which are
required to be undertaken such as self-awareness and critical thinking. These are the essential
aspects which are undertaken by an individual in the way of developing their employability
skills. In this path various skills can be intensified those are having direct linkage to
employability and the same are going to help an individual in order to manage their professional
work in long term.
