INTRODUCTION
Personal and Professional Development Plan is developed for an individual where in the
person has to specify the need for development activities and according to the same, activities are
required to be conducted. In such context, the present study has been describing different learning
styles and which one is often taken for development aspects. The study is also stating the benefits of
self managed learning to individuals in different aspects. Organizational problems have also been
mentioned in the study along with the ways to communicate it in different levels.
TASK 1
a) Approaches to self managed learning. Different learning styles and its benefits to individuals
(1.1)
The major approaches to self managed learning are internet, conference and training aspects.
I have been learning varied things through emphasizing on internet sources where in I get
information about different aspects. I also consider training and coaching aspects as that helps me to
acquire knowledge about varied dimensions (Personal Development - Techniques, Theories and
Opportunities, 2009). I prefer to learn things from Honey and Mumford style because it helps me to
gain better experience on different aspects. Among all the styles, I prefer to learn things by playing
the role of pragmatist. Apart from this learning style, I consider Vark model as well for
comprehending different things related to my job roles. The chief four modalities are visual,
auditory, hearing, kinesthetic and tactile; hence among all these styles, I prefer to go with visual
style because that helps me to conduct all my practices in adequate manner (Throop, 2010).

I always emphasize to evaluate my own capabilities and for that I pay emphasis on self
analysis approach. I analyze my learning and development needs with the help of acquiring opinion
from the expertise and experienced trainers. In order to facilitate more development, I give
preference to self managed and lifelong learning (Sweitzer and King, 2008). It is essential for
people to get feedback consistently from the colleagues and other people so that the areas of
improvements can be found out. I will encourage lifelong learning by attending different learning
and coaching classes as that would also assist me to enhance my professional standards. Lifelong
learning can be encouraged through getting assistance from the expertise and also from those who
are experienced in specific area. I always try to attend training campaigns and events that give
knowledge about professional aspects. I emphasize on feedback as well and I make several
modifications after reviewing the feedback and areas of improvement.
c) Benefits of self managed learning to individual and organization (1.3)
Self managed learning is essential for an individual because it aids the person to learn
different things that are related to the personal and professional aspects. I have been managing my
own learning aspects and that helps me to develop wide range of skills and capabilities. Self
Managed Learning is a process in which individuals managing his own learning by taking initiative
to learn and being responsible for their own development (Silhanek and DeCenzo, 2001). Such kind
of learning is crucial and helps to improve the overall performance of the organization. There are so
many advantages of self managed learning to individual and a few are discussed in the below
section:
For the purpose of improving the work efficiency the performance is measured by
executives; thus it helps individual to access the areas of improvements.
It assists the individual to become competent as compared to others
Learning is life long process in which individual requires focusing on initially marginal
issues related with the successful implementation.

well because efficient employees always contributes the best efforts in development of the
organization. When employees are efficient, they help the organization to produce the best results
by conducting different activities.
d) One work based problem along with the solution (4.1)
I have been working at Easy jet from last 8 months and there I found that a few employees
are not able to communicate properly with the customers due to improper training on language
aspects. I have seen issues generated from the clients regarding inadequate language used. Some of
the employees do not even know the standard language that should be used while serving the
customers at airline (O’Grady, 2013). Hence, according to the problem, it is essential for the
manager to organize training event where employees should be guided regarding the use of
appropriate language. Further, the management of Easy jet has to make sure that the trainer is
capable enough to deal with organizational problems since through that only, communication
related issues can be eradicated. Moreover, the management should also make several
improvements in recruitment process where in only those people should be recruited who have
proper knowledge about different language and who are confident enough to speak in English
language.
e) Learning styles to be implemented in this situation and ways to communicate at various levels
(4.2)
The above mentioned problem needs to be resolved as soon as possible so that issues related
to communication can be managed. The manager of Easyjet has to make sure that all the employees
and departments are equally concerned for organizational problems because through that only, issue
can be resolved (Lyons, 2010). The problem needs to be communicated among these three
department:
1. Strategic: Strategic department of Easyjet has to make sure that they are coming up with
adequate solution for the issue and they are entitled to develop strategies for the same.
Strategic department must identify the root cause of the issue.
2. Operational: Operational department of Easy jet must observe if the issues are affecting
overall performance of the airlines. Operational department has to float emails so that
accordingly people can find out the sessions organized for communication training.
3. Tactical: The tactical department has to observe if the solution is appropriate in eradicating

the issue. The subsequent department must implement the strategy in adequate area of
concern (Köksal, 2006).
f) Time management strategies. Justification of suitable strategy (4.3)
It is essential for every individual to manage time and for that specific strategies needs to be
developed. Such strategies should be developed because it aids an individual to manage work
processes as per the given deadlines. These strategies can be mainly segregated into three
techniques such as:
Creation of schedules
Separation of projects
Setting the priorities
On the basis of determined strategies, I can manage all my projects and work processes in
adequate manner and through this, I can also enhance my punctuality skills (Fante, 2008). Apart
from this, I will be able to contribute in achievement of organizational goals and objectives. From
all the mentioned strategies, I prefer to manage my time as per separation of projects and this assists
me to achieve the deadlines. I need to segregate all my roles and responsibilities as per the project
deadlines so that I can complete the work as requisite. For instance- I an able to meet the projects
and this aids me to get recognition from the management as well.
TASK 2

With the help of SWOT analysis, I explored several skills which I have and which I use
everyday to make my work more competent as compared to others.
1. I have the capability to lead team as I know how to manage my people's interest in the
team. I am also able to influence and convince towards different organizational aspects;
thus this develops my capability for leading a team (Eisele and et.al., 2013).
2. I participate in organizational decision making process which aids me to manage
organizational productivity and prosperity aspects and this also increases my analytical
thinking.
3. I always delegate proper duties to all the team members which helps the subordinates to
manage work accordingly. Hence, I am able to complete all my projects on time.
4. Being a competent person, I can resolve all the conflicts and disputes prevailing within the
team. Instead of having team issues, I try to make sure that all such problems are not
affecting environment of my team.
