Task One
Concept of personal and professional development
The person as well as the professional development concept are mainly related with the
process used by an individual or organisation to effectively encourage, engage and ensure
learning process through meeting all the challenges for better accomplishment of desire goals
(Tagarev, 2021). The main aim and benefit of having personal and professional development for
an individual so to have better skill, knowledge along with enhancing experience level and
strength current competency level.
Short term goals
It mainly consists of the targets and aim that an individual want to accomplish and fulfil
in near future in a small period of time i.e. in a week, month or day (Li and Li, 2021). The short
term gaols are vital and valuable for an individual as it helps in clearly defining the path for
efficient success and allows improved focus and keep motivated to have better efficiency in
achieving tasks and goals. My three short terms goals are:
ï‚· working on my health and having a proper daily routine which comprises of good eating,
living and sleeping habits.
ï‚· Making improved and better relationship with my mentor and colleagues is also my short
term goals which supports effective communication.
ï‚· Improved management of time and having a disciplined life is also my short term goal.
Medium term goals
These task and goals are mainly longer than short term goals and tend to achieve within
2-3 weeks or some couples of months (Brock, 2021). A key role is played by medium term goals
in success and better development of an individuals as it supports and fill the gap between the
short and long term goals and also ensures and set out an improved coordination between the
long and short term goals through leading regularity in work and taking resilient for achievement
of goal. The medium term goals set out by me are listed as below:
ï‚· Getting out of my comfort zone and reaming focused towards my goals is my priority to
have improved personal and professional development through regularity in my work.
ï‚· Having improved time management through proper keeping a proper balance between
my study and other activities is also meet medium term goal.

ï‚· Staying positive and relax for effectively completing my graduation is also a medium
term goal which comprises of securing good mars and better quality result.
Value of long term goals
These comprises of the long term targets and lifelong achievement of an individual for
which deep planning and sufficient time is required which are usually accomplishment and
achieved in 6 months to 1 or more years (Partridge, 2021). Long term goals are important and
valuable as they ensure self-improvement and enhancement in skill through long term
enthusiasm and motivation to effectively achieve and strive with set objectives. The list of my
long term goals are provided as below:
ï‚· Having development and improvement in my leadership skill
ï‚· Development of effective communication and intellectual skill
ï‚· More effective time management and disciple to enhance my employability level.
Value of a Personal Development Plan
Personal development plan is highly important and valuable as it motivates and ensures
effective planning and skill development for an individual through focusing on areas of
improvement along with determining strategy for better improvement in skill and knowledge
level to have improved carer and employability (Mantzourani and et. al., 2021).
