There are several issues regarding professional relationships such as abuse, conflict, ethics and
secrecy versus disclosure.
Discuss various ways that Mr Kelvin may adopt in resolving issues encountered in his
professional relationships (AC 3.3)
Professional relationship is one of the pertinent relationships in the corporate world (Berkovi,
2016). It is build on the professional scenario. The issues are highlighted towards conflict,
ethics, confidentiality and disclosure and abuse. These are the pertinent issues which are
normally encountered in the corporate world. The issues can be resolved by the following
methods namely:
Communication is one of the most pertinent ways to resolve the issue in the professional world
(Bardach and Patashnik, 2015). Effective communication with the management can help curtail
the misunderstanding and help to sort out the problems. It is on e of the most effective solution in
the corporate sphere. Proactive communication can eliminate the differences prevailing in the
corporate world significantly.
To Visualize the alternative is another aspect which can be taken into account to resolve issues in
the professional relationship simultaneously (Stringer, 2013). Sometimes, certain issues cannot
be resolved by mere communication but finding alternative routes to eliminate the same. This
helps in maintaining healthy relationship which is proactive in nature.
Commitment is another aspect where the resolving of the issues pertaining to relationship can be
tackled. The commitment should be towards the priority rather than on the ancillaries. The

commitment should be directed towards the progressive development rather can remaining in the
isolated zone. The commitment if directed towards the progression can help in the retain ship of
the relationship simultaneously.
Proactive is one of the most active measure in the retain ship of relationship in the corporate
world. Instead of waiting for the problems to arise professional relationship should be the
priority in the corporate world. This can help in the elimination of the faults prevailing in the
professional field.
Query should be addressed in the professional world. Any unfamiliar issues if comes up can be
addressed by the redressed method where the grievance are chalked out in a systematic manner
and resolved in the detailed manner. Any query if comes up to the management should be sorted
out by the implication of immediate effect policy which helps to curtail the issues in the
proactive manner. This is an effective measure to eliminate the issues in the professional field
significantly. It helps to eliminate the differences in the corporate world. The elimination of the
matter is possible through the implication of managerial priority in the same simultaneously.
This is one of the pertinent measure to eliminate the issues simultaneously.

eliminate the differences prevailing in the respective field significantly. The solutions would
help to counter the differences and help in the curtailment of the issues. The issues can led to
further adversity in the organization and would lessen the performance growth in the
organization. In order to prevent it the measures as highlighted can help to eliminate the
differences significantly. Management has to be proactive in the organization and

Task 3
Evaluate the effectiveness of your personal contributions while working with professional
colleagues using feedbacks from your work place mentor. (AC4.1) [D3]
Team working enhances the potentiality of care workers to take care of the patients. Health and
social care service sector required patience and attentiveness of the care workers. Team working
ensures coordination among the care workers. Health and social care team working is guided and
supervised by a mentor.
Effectiveness of personal contribution
I am Mr. Golden Kelvin working as a Health Care Assistant has the responsibility to work as a
supporter to care service users. I communicate with the service user verbally and non-verbally.
Fair, comprehensive and positive communication with the team members motivated and
energized them. I maintain a logbook to put down the performance report of my fellow members
and later handovers it to the mentor. In this context, I am personally oversees if the care service
users are enjoying proper food and lodging facility at the health care sector. On the other hand, I
prepare beds for them. The aim behind this personal contribution is to strengthen team bonding
among the care workers and care service users. The effectiveness of this personal contribution
enhances practical knowledge and good command over organizational ethics, statutory codes
which will uplift my professional capabilities.
Feedbacks of Mentor
According to Anatole et al., (2013), in health care service, no team performance is complete
without the reflection of personal performance. The mentor or nurse or health care sector
provides the feedback report to every care workers. Based on this report, the care worker needs
to improve their professional and personal skills. The renowned scholar Kolb established Model
of Reflection. There are four different sections in Kolb’s model (Moon, 2013). From the concept
of Kolb’s model, I need to put special focus on my previous experience and mentors’ feedback
on this point. Therefore, my thinking over the factor or opinion of mentor can help care worker
to eradicate weaknesses. The adaptation of several strategies or practices can be applied to
develop personal and professional abilities. The active experiment over the negative feedback of

mentor effectively uplifts my personal and professional skills as a health care assistant and my
coordination with my colleagues.
Explain how the limitations of your role have impacted your working with professional
colleagues. Give examples. (AC4.2) [D3]
The power position of the health care assistant has several boundaries and limitations at the work
place. The limitations prohibited me to use my best efficiencies at the health care service centre.
Health care organization sets several ethics and regulation to abide by the care workers as well as
the service users. This limitation has both positive and negative impact at our workplace.
Limitations are responsible for maintaining a peaceful work environment at health care service
centre.
Limitations at workplace
As a health care assistant I have various limitation and boundaries at my workplace. I cannot pay
any special service to service users. The care workers cannot take any instant decision without
the permission of mentor or guider. We have to present our self as the reflection of whole team
member. Every single decision requires consent of team members. The job description itself is
bounded with limitations. The feedback of mentors disclosed strengths and weaknesses of
individual care workers. This report measured each and every team member accordingly their
strengths and weaknesses (Phillips, 2016). The organizational policies and procedures are the
legal boundaries which limit the working area of care workers.
Impacts of the limitations
The limitations of health care service sector have positive and negative impacts on the care
workers. The limitation is also present in paying any special care to impaired patients, creates
dissatisfactions in the mind of care workers (Chao et al., 2015). On the other hand, the care
workers like me feel suffocated working environment when they cannot take any decision
without the permission of their mentors. Therefore, open announcement of the mentor’s feedback
creates clashes among my colleagues of health care service. For examples, there are certain
awkward situations, when the care workers like me have to abide by the organizational policies
and regulation (Busse et al., 2014). We cannot help the victim only because of the legal

limitations. In this type of worst situation, the I feel the negative impact of professional
limitations.
Analyze how you have been able to minimize barriers to effective team work in your work
experience. Give examples.(AC4.3) [D2]
Barriers
The care workers of United Kingdom face several barriers at their workplace. The barriers at
workplace come as the major challenges to the employees. These barriers prohibit me to provide
my best performance at my workplace (Weller, et al., 2014). I have witnessed excessive
frustration of the care workers which is generated by the pressure of barriers.
Barriers – team working
The splitting of loyalties between individual and team values is the effective barrier to the care
worker. Due to excessive work pressure, I fail to pay attention to multiple responsibilities
(Glenton et al., 2013). The diversity of race, gender, class and religion creates barrier among the
team members. On the other hand, the over defensive attitude of mentors is a major issue in this
section. Current competitive nature of team members is deteriorating the trust in the team
working. The example of team working barrier is my colleague who got married with same sex.
However, I have strong religious view about same sex marriage.
Minimize barriers
In this situational context, I need to build up a commitment to the team objective. As a health
assistant I need to show respect towards excellent skills and capabilities of other team members.
This will diminish the clashes among my fellow team members and reinforce the team bonding.
The positive attitude towards colleagues will build trust in team working. Sharing the
responsibilities for care users is effective to wipe put conflicts barrier. The establishment of eco-
friendly environment is helpful to minimize various barriers at health care service sector.
