INTRODUCTION
Personal and professional development is an important process which helps to
enhance the personality of individual and also improvise their future growth. This helps them
out to achieve their goals and objectives (Holzweiss, and Parrott, 2017).This report will cover
the concept of personal and professional development along with the short-term, medium-
term and long-term goals. Further it will also provide the description about the author,
purpose, reliability and relevance with evaluation of 8 sources.
TASK 1
Define the concept of personal and professional development
It is an important process which helps the individual to enhance the performance and
also to achieve goals and objectives. This manages a proper knowledge and skill in individual
and make them to work efficiently, effectively and systematically.
Describe and discuss the value of short-term goals identifying at least 3 personal examples.
These are all such goals which require time period of less than 6 months and can be
achieved immediately. Some of the examples are like creative skills, communication skills
and decision making (Martell and Stevens, 2017).

examples.
Medium-term goals are all such aims which can be covered in more than 1 year or
less than 5 years. This helps out to reach on long-term aspirations. For instance, problem-

It is all such goals which require time period for above five years are covered under it.
This manages the shaping of career and also to complete the development of individual. For
