INTRODUCTION
The main aim of this report is to make learner more confident towards the effective
management of personal and professional skill in order to achieve personal as well as career
goals. Learning is a continuous process which enhances the level of existing skill set and also
learns new skill set. These skills help the personal as well as professional growth. Various
learning methods are to be used but the self managed learning method are the best way of
learning method. The present case study is based on management of personal and professional
development; National health care services case study is taken in to consideration. Self managed
learning process involves the clear goal setting, personal orientation achievements goals. Verbal
and non verbal communication also makes an effective impact on the personal growth as well as
on professional growth it reflects presentation skills. Develop plan needs to be review the current
performance, future needs and it leads the opportunities and threats to career progression also be
effectively evaluated for the purpose of continuous improvement in the skill set.

1.1 Comparing personal values and principles with the working principles in health and
social care
Personal and cultural values are the critical component in the social and health care
organization. Cultural values make an impact on the workers in the health care. Personal values
and principles are derives the bright future in terms of the enhancement in the skill set that helps
in improvement in the working style (Bayar, 2014). Personal values are based on beliefs and
preferences of people. Belief and preferences of a person are shaped on the basis of culture
which is follows by a person. Person behavior and interest influence the priorities of things.
Personal values are changed over a person life span. There is a little bit difference between
support in working health and social care with respect to personal values and principles.
Principles of personal values in health and care society are originate from the concept of equality
and love for humanity. We can say that both the set of principles and values support each other.
Personal values always guided the people to help the needy people in social and health care
services. It is the form of unconditional care of people with any return expectations from them. It

experience includes family standards and societal values of a person in the society and personal
beliefs. Education level and standard of living also influence the creativity in social and health
services that makes effective to the patients. It social and health care worker provides high
quality of social and health services to a person that reflects the worker behavior which one is
influence by the culture and experience of a worker. It also helps in to understand the emotions
and problems of the patients. Values and principles that needs to be followed by the social and
health care professionals in order to promotes the equal rights to all patients who have need some
treatment. They give more attention towards the patients in order to fulfill their expectations.
1.3 Discussing about the changes in the personal values makes impact on work in health
and social care
People those are working in social and health care services various new developments makes
an impact on the work. Various changes like legislative changes, political changes and research
leads the changes in the certain treatments and priorities which one is set by the professional that

works are under the influence by the other parties who is exercising the activity on behalf
of other persons (Hamza, 2010).
2. Another important think is that the cost and expenses are also in our control. but in the
case of the other it is costly because of the training and development of new person.
3. Own works is comfortable to take actions into own when it is necessary. While in the
case of the other it is difficult to take action because it is in the other hands or authority.
4. It help to establish independence to think ideas through on their own but while because
the goals are already pre decided in the other work.
5. Lack of knowledge can damage the plan,but other works are requires proper skill to
perform the task.

The effective teamwork is most important and beneficial for the health and social care
organization. With the help of the impressive and effective teamwork the manager of the
organization can keep communication and understanding among the people. But there are some
barriers which a manager need to identify that and after the identification they can remove the
barriers.
