INTRODUCTION
In the current modern era, personal and professional skills and capabilities play an
important role in every organisation. With the help of them, company's goals and objectives will
be achieved in an effective and efficient manner. The major motive of personal and professional
development is to enhance working capabilities and learning skills of employees (Avalos, 2011).
This project report will be discussing about different approaches which help to effectively
manage self-learning process. In addition to this, major benefits and importance of self-managed
learning to individuals as well as organisation will be explained. Moreover, there will be study
on various important remedies for work based problems. Apart from this, this research project
will consider Mark and Spencer company, which wants to conduct training and development
program in working environment for their employees. So they can enhance their working
