Introduction:
The personal and professional training plans help the new trainees in order to increase
the skills and qualities of them in an organization. The general need of these training
programs are visible for the new employees in every service based organization. The required
quality and skills in order to provide the service for a given organization is significant
because the reputation for a service based organization lies in the quality of the service of the
employees of the concerned organization. Hence the need of these sort of training programs
is significant for the organization and the employees as both the parties will be significantly
subjected to the customer satisfaction by their respective roles in the service. The paper will
discuss the importance of these sort of training programs and the structure of these training
programs for an organization in the automobile industry.
Task 3.
Information Gathering for the Development Plan:
The process of gathering the information regarding the need of the training programs
is a basic one on one interview session that I conducted being the technical trainer of the
organization. The session was significantly important as it gave me the absolute portions of
requirements where I need to concentrate while I prepare the training programs. From the
session I observed that there was significant issues for the employees in the technical
knowledge regarding the trade. Along with that the employees were observed to have notable
difficulties in playing as a team player, the lesser knowledge of the information technology.
The personal barriers for the employees are generally the communication issues, adaptability
at adverse situations and the lesser interest of gaining technical knowledge by independent
and elf driven researches. The time management in providing the services was also a major
concern for the organization. The one to one interview session was significantly contributing

for my knowledge regarding the absence of sufficient and modern technical insights among
the employees of the organization.
Individual Learning Experience:
I was able to understand the reason behind the imperfection of the service provided by
the employees of the concerned organization. The major reason behind the imperfection was
the lesser knowledge in the practical fields. The safety engineering, fuel economy, vehicle
electronics, NHV engineering were significant part in which the employees had very limited
amount of knowledge. I observed these aspects to be influencing the overall service of the
employees in a negative manner. The employees were not having sufficient information
regarding the seat belts and the air bag testing procedures and that was posing significant
detrimental effects in the service of the employees of the concerned organization. The
employees were unaware of the importance of the computer crash simulation and the crash
test dummy in making sure that the safety of the customers is ensured. Majorly the old
employees were observed to have the absence of the knowledge of the mentioned new
advance technology based techniques. The new employees were observed to have major
absence of knowledge of the analysis of the fuel economy. Along with that the employees
were not aware of the emissions testing as well. The knowledge of the measurement analysis
of the vehicle emissions including the impact of the hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, carbon
dioxide and the nitrogen oxides along with the other evaporative emissions was absent among
the new employees of the organization. The employees were observed to have very less
amount of insights regarding the reduction of the noise and the vibration generated from the
internal operations of the automobile bodies. This was a major concern for the organization
as the issue was sufficiently large enough to irritate the customers.

Several surveys confirmed that the customers in large number reports for the
excessive amount of seat vibration and the noise generating from the steering wheel. This
was also a point of concern for the organization as it results in increasing the health concern
of the customers and the service from the concerned automobile organization in reducing the
impact of the above mentioned issues needs to be of the optimum quality as any sort of
mismanagement in the delivering quality work will result in additional customer
dissatisfaction and that will not be good for the reputation of the organization. The employees
of the concerned organization were noted to feel major incapability in case of the handling
the vehicle electronics. The modern day automobile products are observed to have significant
amount of electronics items attached with it for the improved controlling. The products are
observed to improve the controlling operations in cases of the throttle, brakes and steering
controls with the introduction of the electronics devices. Along with these the comfort of the
using the automobile products has also increased with the presence of the electronics devices
in HVAC, infotainment and the lighting systems. Hence the importance of providing quality
service in fixing the issues regarding the vehicle electronics will increase the customer
loyalty towards the organization and will also enable the organization to have a better image
in providing the services. But unfortunately the employees of the organization specifically the
new ones were observed to have significant absence of knowledge regarding the vehicle
electronics which was decreasing the reputation of the organization in the service industry.
On the basis of these inputs regarding the incapability of the employees, I planned the
training programs with a precise focus on the scope of increasing the technical knowledge of
the employees of the concerned organization. The incapability or gaps in providing quality
works were observed for both the new and the old employees as the new employees were
observed with lack of knowledge in the fuel economy and emissions analysis along with the
NHV engineering. The old employees were observed to have significant limitations in

adapting the technological advancement in case of Vehicle Electronics and the safety
engineering. Along with the training on the professional aspects my structure of the training
program also followed the personal impurities like communication gap, apathy of self-
research and the incapability of playing the role of a team player. The absence of the
knowledge of the information technology was also a point of concern for the organization as
the employees were considerably lacking the knowledge of using the software applications in
an effective manner. The employees were noted to have immense limitations in availing the
internet resources in improving the quality of the work.
Task 4
Work Based Solutions:
The first and most effective solution for the improving the quality of the work of the
employees will be the training programs on application of the electronics devices in the
automobile bodies. The training on the safety engineering will also be essential for reducing
the impurities in providing the services as the safety of the customers during the usage of the
automobile products needs to be guaranteed first. The training on the fuel economy analysis
is much needed in order to describe the statistics. Along with that the theoretical knowledge
of the emission analysis needs to be incorporated among the employees of the organization
by means training classes. The cross cultural barriers among the employees of the
organization can be reduced by implementing training on the cultural assimilation, language
training. Along with that the increment of the social relationship from the part of the
employees will enable them to cope up with the cultural shock in a better manner.
Verbal and Non-verbal Styles:
The verbal communication among the lower level employees will be passively
aggressive in order to drive them towards better productivity for the concerned organization.

This also includes manipulative form of verbal exchanges as well in communicating with the
junior employees. As the employees with lesser amount of compact knowledge on the trade
will be subjected to certain amount of job dissatisfaction, the management needs manipulate
the employees in a disguised manner with the introduction of the rewarding policy in order to
make sure that the employees remain operational and productive. The communication with
the senior level officers will also be manipulative as the market insights and experience of the
respective senior employees on the mentioned trade are genuine assets for the organization.
The communication with the top level management needs to be assertive and formal.
The non-verbal communication generally depends on the body language of the
employees and in that case the lower level employees are best advised to have a pleasant
body language inside the organization during the interaction with the senior employees.
Time Management:
The number of the automobile products is significantly increasing day by day with the
generation of the sense of urgency and speed among the people of modern generation. Hence
the time management in providing the service is essential for the organization. The
organization needs to divide the whole process among different teams with the expertise on
the specific segments of the operation. The strategy will be to set the priorities first and then
do the planning for the tasks according to the priority list with effective planning tool which
will enable the organization to record all the inputs about the tasks. Important time
management tool in this process will be the Personal Digital Assistant (PDA). The next
process will be to eliminate the barriers which increases the time consumed. The association
of the teams in order to create a proper time schedule for the operation will be a major step in
the strategy. The communication will be implemented by means of the digital mediums like
