INTRODUCTION
Personal and professional development, both these terms are described in sense of an
individual as well as their growth. These things are helpful in improving skills and knowledge of
a person through which all task get done in an effective manner (Zakarevičius and Župerkienė,
2015). This thing get done with the help of various number of tools, techniques and methods
through which not only self growth took place but specialised thinking criteria also get increase.
This present assignment is based on personal and professional development, in which various
number of things are explained. In this study learning style and their benefits for an individual
are described. Along with this the ways in which lifelong learning can take place also described
in this file. Moreover, several other things which evaluated in this file are that how these learning
style aid in overcoming from various number of problems. Certain more things are also
elaborated in this assignment with the help of personal and professional development example.

Self managed learning is a concept through which an individual can enhance lifelong
learning and development. SML is a technique from which a person can find out the ways of
gaining knowledge from diverse ways. This element also provide support in achieving all the
goals and targets on time (Wilcoxon, Remley and Gladding, 2013). Hence, the main thing which
get done through this concept is to get aware about all live issues which occur at the time of
attainment of goals.
1. Seminar and Conferences: This approach has its own speciality because its provide a
platform to many people to show their knowledge and skills in front of others as well as
gain some part of knowledge from others also. This leads to make people more confident
in front of others and not to get hesitate while meeting with others or at the time of facing
interviews. At workplace this process can work by transferring skills from one person to
other and hence, all objectives can be achieved.
2. Social network: This formulation also help in manage self learning with the help of
connecting world wide people. Hence, social media provide a vast network under which
a person can connect to another one who is living at different nations. Thus, gaining of
knowledge from different person increase knowledge and vocabulary.

1. Visual: This form of learning style help in understanding all the things by seeing various
colours and images (Sargeant, Bruce and Campbell, 2013). This is a creative form of
learning in which an individual an easily understand what representative want to convey.
A major benefit by this form of learning is that it become easy to understand and all
necessary information get acquired in less time.
2. Aural: Another form of learning style is aural in which an individual can attain all things
with the help of listening something. As per many writers context, an aural thing can

a person by this concept is that only relevant information is transfer to another.
3. Verbal: This can be of two types, oral and written or can say that it is a mixture of aural

words or speech. This presentation benefit is that only such amount of data is included
which is applicable. Hence, chances of irrelevant information get decline.
4. Physical/ Kinaesthetic: This sort of style represent such learning possibility outcome

all new opportunities which are present at environment and all threats which are associated with
that.

There are several number of benefits which provided by self managed learning to an
individual and to an organisation. All these are helpful in making the growth of a person
personality so that all of their task get achieved in an effective manner (Nicholls, 2014). Thus,
personal and professional development emphasis about on the concept of self managed learning
whose benefits to an individual are as follow:
1. It leads to increase team work skills and with the help of this many goals and targets get
achieved. Along with that all projects get done in a proper manner. Thus chances of
conflicts get reduced.
2. Also, they learn several number of things from universities from where they acquire their
degree. At such places, they give presentation through which their presentation skills get
improved and they learn how to present themselves in front of others.

their customers services are the main issues. This can be done due to providing less and less
appropriate training to their staff members (Moon, 2013). Now, this problem related context is
about Five season hotel where services provided by them are not proper. This is a major problem
over there. One of my dream is to work over there and I don't want to work at such place whose
brand image lead to get down for in near future years. Hence this signifies that their services
serve is not adequate in nature. In this context some of the major thing which get arise are:
1. Lack of customer satisfaction
2. Decline in profitability
3. Decline in their growth
Hence, according to me this is a reason of inappropriate training provided by organisation to
their employees. This is a result of lack of training which is provided by manage to their
employees as well as they hire such employees who have lack of knowledge about hospitality
industry (Mitchell, 2013). Thus this leads to take more and more time in providing appropriate
services to their users. This is also consider as one of the another issue over there. The only
solution for these issues are:
1. Provide them training
2. Evaluate them before their recruitment and selection
3. Order them to complete their work on time.

Once the management will lead to work on them all these problems get sorted out in a
specified time frame.
4.2 Usefulness of learning style in solving these problems and communicate them at various
level
There are various number of learning style which are helpful in solving out each and
every problem. Out of those 7 styles, solitary is appropriate in solving out all problems which are
facing by management (McConnell and et. al., 2013). Also, an organisation can use audio and
visual form of learning through which they can maintain a proper communication chain in which
all information can be pass according to need. With the help of visual, employees can learn how
to provide effective services to their users through which their satisfaction level can increase.
Five season hotel have to provide their workers a proper time frame in which they should have to
complete their work. If they failed in do so then they have to take some strict actions against
them. These style have to be implemented according to need and requirement of time. This work
can done with help of managers.
This information of using appropriate style to solve all the problems in a proper manner
are as follow. The first level is strategic level who leads to make scheme on which the each and
every work get done. They are responsible to hire such managers who help them in look over on
each and every task. After that, the second stage where this information should have to pass on is
tactical who are responsible for such type of problems and their main work is to implement these
learning style in a structural manner (Hopkinson, 2014). And at last operation who needs to learn
these styles and work on them. If this ratio will lead to follow in adequate format then it aid
them in solving all these problems.
4.3 Time management strategies which are helpful for an individual
The one of a most important thing which is helpful in making a person successful is time
management. If a person utilise all of its time in a proper manner, then the chances of prosperity
automatically rises. Hence this concept of using time is necessary for each and every individual.
If they failed in do so then it directly affect their working (Hicks and et. al., 2014). Hence there
are several number of time schemes which an individual should have to use which are as follow:
1. Set goals according to priority: By setting targets reduce the chances of failure as well as
a person will lead to work on them on priority basis. This leads to increase the occurrence

of success. I used to first set my goals through which my half work load tend to get
decline.
2. Self awareness and get motivated with focus: Some other major things on which a person
should have to work is that to always get motivated whether in any situation and always
prepare oneself for each and every conditions By setting goals is not a single thing but
focus on each one of them is must. I used to see motivational videos on internet through
which my determination for work get increase.
3. Take decisions according to plan: Never change oneself decision which is always set
according to plan. And formulate more than one plan out of them one is main and the
other one is supportive or as a backup. I always suppose to do this thing through which
my task get attain in minimum time bound.
4. Improve skills: Some other factors which are supportive in time frame is skills. One of a
major skills is communication. By passing appropriate information on time reduce the
time which is take due to poor communication skill.

affected. This is my one of the most helpful advantage as well as I perform well while working
in a team.
Future needs: According to this perspective I have to work on all my weakness in which
