INTRODUCTION
Personal development as well as professional development help an individual or
organisation to develop, improve, educate or enhance their knowledge, skills, abilities to
accomplish their objectives and requirements. This process take many stages to develop, such as
self learning process (Avalos, 2011). NHS foundation is situated in England which is semi-
independent body within national health services that is made of local people who work for
children welfare and educate and train them for benefit them.
This report compares personal values with principal of support and working in health
sector and their contribution in social care activities. Also, this assess learning and education
style of individual and an organisation and all technique for developing a plan as well as analyse
the effectiveness of those plan in one's developmental and nature of such relationship as well as
document own skills and limitation.
TASK 1
1.1 Compare personal values and principles with the principles of support for working
I have started my job at health and social care and this is the start-up of career. My
objective for future is to grow and polish my abilities and qualities as well as develop my career
in Health and care sector.

Principle of support for working in health and social care is increased from idea of love
and equality for mankind. This support the idea of providing needed facilities to those who repay
them badly and should have get chance to have it. Health and social care service provider's
qualities and abilities overlap this idea of supporting the principle (Bauer, 2010).
In my case, my personal values love the idea of helping and supporting health and social
care, therefore, they both complement each other. Social and health care require unconditional
and unlimited services to help people. To satisfy clients and engage staff, better leadership
qualities is needed. Thus, personal values may change with experiences, time and expectation but
they affect the principle of social and health influencing priorities and perception in particular
idea or result.
1.2 Influence of personal culture and experience over own role
Role of supporting users is directly influence the culture and experience of an individual
working in health and social care sectors. Individual's quality and family background shapes his
culture and experiences. An individual's age, gender, her/his life experiences at college and work
and his education shapes his beliefs which impact on his role in social and health sector in NHS
Foundation.
In case, if an individual has to serve some quality services to his clients, the quality will
depend on his culture and experiences that he had in his life and his behaviour will be according
that. I personally believe that each individual has right to social and health care. I also understand
the need of clients of other culture and believes that they must be provide same facilities. I
understand their emotions and problems when it is required (Cleary, 201).
Values and Principles of NHS foundation understand the needs to provide and treat
everyone with equality and contain rule of diversity in their system and this is genuine. A must
takes care of confidence information of a client and as I follow this rule too. I believe in paying
attention in their needs and protect them from any harm and abuse. An organisation should adopt
holistic approach to satisfy their needs.
1.3 New development and change in personal values impact on work in health and social care
A person's new developments and changes in behaviour or habits can impact their work
in health and social care. Policies and legislative varies, priorities fixed which is set by NHS
foundation leader and professional make an impact over an individual. Such varies changes

personal attribute and belief. Principle of better belief and individual beliefs should understood in
good way to control them under the influence. Those changes impact highly and specifically on
the behaviour and values of person in social and health care. The upcoming stress between
principles and values, principle of good beliefs and values of other impact upon new changes that
occur in individual (Cooke, 2012). Such improvement depends upon various factors such as
policies, legislation, research, priorities and targets of individual. Legislation provide some rule
to worker who work in social care sector. This provide clients better facilities and assure them
about secrecy of information.
Their culture and diverse value help in health and care sector helps them in facility they
give. Laws support them from being discriminated and they provide others, rights related to
colour, race, religion and physical disability. Thus, they provide better laws ad facilities to their
customer after developing specific changes in themselves in health and social car sector such as
NHS foundation.
TASK 2
2.1 Measure present skills ability and learning style
According to need of my job , development is required in a care worker job which is my
work in NHS foundation. According the change of a person, his working style and learning
manner or abilities changes which can be factual experience, active experiment, reflective
observation and accommodation. Generally, person utilize four techniques which are reading,
writing, listening and watching which is known as linguistic learning method.

SWOT analysis is helpful in order to seek own strength and abilities. My strengths are
my good communication skills, quick learning ability, versatile personality, and helping nature
that has inspired me to join this sector and continue in this field. My weaknesses are main
obstruct in my path, I cannot handle pressure, laziness and I am foodie. But including my
opportunities I can gain success which are passion for education and curiosity to know more
(Croft, 2010.). My threats include money problem, less knowledge and experiences that may
cause a conflicts in future.
Usually, this depends on techniques of leaning and educating and also depend upon my
learning abilities. Like if I want to be aware about better skills and providing services than I will
utilize linguistic learning style and then accommodation and assimilating because they will cater
me top best ways of learning which is watching, feel and read so I can know what I am doing.
For this I will require to not important things. It is proven that theoretical learning is not as
effective as practical knowledge. So, after analysing and reading, it will require to practically
practice some of activities so it can better be reminded in my mind. This stimulate the mind to
remember practice which is being made thus, I can measure my skills and learning style.
2.2 Holistic development plan with short medium and long-term goals
Learning new skills, developing existing ideas and concept and accomplishing goals is
way to reach success. Each person or professional organisation require personal development
plan to improve their qualities and skills. Development plan of long term or short term can help
an individual and organisation to accomplish their mission by setting goals in attaining result in
desired time period. It discipline the function, and evolve their characteristics and traits which
can build them as a professional and take on path of achievement. This can be gained through
analysing personal strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats that can restrain their growth
in future (Desimone, 2011).

2.3 Progress against plan according to requirement of practitioner, revising the plan as required
Personal development plan can be managed through the results and work performance of
me in NHS foundation. As an example, if I consider my care worker skills as my personal
development plan, I can control and maintain this through serving more clients, communicating
people and understanding concept and principle of social and health care. I monitor children and
help them understanding concept of education and manage their needsthrough acknowledging
their skills and abilities (Elliott, 2011). For example, NHS work for children welfare and if me
and my fellow serving them, I will remember their minor details and understanding their
behaviour I will treat them and monitor them. Thus, through performance appraisal, I can
enhance me abilities and skills.
2.4 Effectiveness of development plan to own development
As a care worker, there is always something to learn about clients and guest keep
changing after the services. This is essential to have a personal development plan to enhance my

skills according NHS Foundation and children behaviour. As a professional worker of social care
and health sector, IT and decision-making skills are for me. As a social worker, I can seek
needed information as well as keep my own data and monitor all equipments. for example, if a
disable person is not able to move, asks to help in other thing, I wild be able to his consider
report and understand circumstances and I will be able to provide him instant cure in time the
doctor reach room. Therefore, it is essential to develop my own skills as a care worker in NHS
foundation.
TASK 3
3.1 Nature of different professional relationships
Professional relationship is a formal process in which worker build connection with
clients, families, colleagues, colleges, authority, individuals or boss or employers in regard to
social and health care. This concentrates on particular values of any foundation. Here is nature of
those principles which is maintained below:
Relationship with Clients -
Entire service users must be respected by organisation weather they are individual or
customers and no issues must be raised while optimizing any services. Worker are being hired to
facilitates services to clients and in social care, they are not permitted to distinguish individuals
while giving service (Gibson, Dollarhide and Moss, 2010).
Doctors, care wokrer and other worker should assure their clients and satisfy them with
services. Also, they should maintain confidentiality of information in order to avoid harm to
clients’ personality. Everyone including professional and specialist should prefer the concept of
satisfying their clients need.
Relationship with Co-workers -
Relationship with colleges is required to manage and form a good understanding among
workers. Teamwork always cater better results either in organisation or other activities. Work
with unity make environment more positive and safe.
Social worker, care worker and doctors need to communicate and discuss their
information and knowledge which help them in giving good quality of services. They should

learn to respect other's values and beliefs as well as their religion and culture and make
workforce better restraining discrimination, bully and harassment etc.
3.2 Personal effectiveness in promoting and supporting rights
Personal rights are significant in health and social care sector. They not only empower a
person but give ability to live equally and with freedom in society without any fear of
discrimination due to race, gender, age, culture and religion etc. For personal effectiveness,
accommodation, clothing and food is basic necessity in an individuals’ life. Fundamental right
not only promote and educate people but also support in developing and improving oneself
equally with other with fair representation and equal opportunities to grow (Maskit, 2011).
Human rights and democracy plan is most effective program which has developed and is
a medium of social care and give the opportunities to practice those rights in society. Also, it
provides a person opportunities to educate, empower and enhance himself to reduce and avoid
any discrimination and harassment. This help healthcare professional to feel better as people are
being aware about them and educating themselves to grow. Promotion of such programmes and
rights can be done through informing and organising campaigns to educate and aware other
people about rights they already have by constitution.
These campaigns help social and health care people to widen their thoughts and
understand people (McNiff, 2010). This provide an opportunity to public to understand each
other and self-rights and learn from society and Govt. and serve again them by empowering other
about these laws. Thus, I understand the importance of human fundamental rights as it serves
people in promoting and developing themselves in many forms and shapes.
3.3 Ways to resolve issues encountered in professional relationships
To resolve issues, various methods are used which are encountered in worker, doctors,
professional in NHS foundation and trust. Disputes can take place by miscommunication, wrong
interpretation, dissatisfaction and dearth of better interaction (Sutherland, Howard and
Markauskaite, 2010). To understand conflicts initially and resolve them without taking them a
large face, this is better solution and to avoid issues.
In order to having conflicts in professional relationship, conflicts are essential to interpret
situation better. To resolve those disputes, a person should follow steps and understand major
reason of conflict. In NHS foundation, to identify conflicts and to get better solution of that
issue, leader have to organise a meeting to understand views of staff members and employees in
7
Document Page
order to understand major root of those conflicts. Secondly, foundation should provide those
groups a chance to explain factors that is included in conflicts. At last Leader should build an
agreement on which both parties are willing to agree and resolve issues from root.
TASK 4
4.1 Effectiveness of personal contributions while working with others
Other worker's skills, abilities and knowledge play a vital role in improvement of my
skills, abilities and communication skills in health and social care (Olsen, 2015). They help to
identifies barrier in my communication skills and to understand in realising my duties and roles
toward organisation and clients and children of NHS foundation. They have also empowered my
knowledge and information level by informing me about various things that is not in my area·
My fellow employee in NHS foundation guide me in making proper development in required
sectors. They provide me and suggest me in complication and case of confusion and hassle.
Therefore, not only they help in improving my skills but I also help new fellow to understand
company policies and duties and suggest them their best. I analyse various factors of medical and
enlarge my area of information. Also in need in pay my extra attention to this children who need
my attention and extra care.
4.2 Impact of limits of own work role on work with others
User needs and expectation accomplishment is required in health and care sectors to meet
collective effectiveness. Several elements are helpful which assist in developing team work in
NHS foundation (Stenfors-Hayes, 2010). One major component that can be used in developing
NHS foundation is support of other health and social care sectors. Collective work is more
effective and quick access a of development and goals accomplishment. Many health and social
care trust are running with same motive as NHS foundation, so they can try to achieve there
mission with the help of other organisation in accomplshment of same goals. Wise man said that
individual can not achieve a goal, which team easily can.
In social and health care , it is too hard to undertake all duties and roles by an individual.
In order to distribute work and enhance work quality, team work is necessary that allows to
group members to eliminate their work according their interest and enable them to complete it on
time. Thus, NHS foundation can adopt team work activity in their system to work with ease and
better quality.

4.3 Examine own role in minimising barriers to effective teamwork
There are several obstructions that is needed to avoid in order to maximize team work
performance results in health and social care sector. I as the member of NHS foundation have
tried to minimize obstruction in team work activities by providing and giving my best results in
my work as well as understanding and interacting with fellow members my team.(Moon, 2013).
Moreover, Member of social and health acre exchanged their experiences through asking
responses of fellow people and learn more about other's work.
Through concentrating on the tools of accountability and understanding professional
codes, I can minimized those barriers form my path. To decrease these obstruction such as
priorities, preferences, expectations and personal communication, , a team work can be
accomplished. These are essential tounderstand depth of my job and team members should rely
on these given things to develop and achieve success in their works too.
4.4 Develop personal contributions to the collective effectiveness of a team
In NHS foundation, in order to achieve collective positive result of all actions and plans,
team work is necessary which make it easier and increase performance and result of
organisation. In contributing such activities, an individual need to learn a lot about company and
health and social care sector from their work (Shortland, 2010):
