Introduction
The primary objective of this report is to create a chance for an individual to assess
and develop a variety of personal and professional skills to be able to promote career
development and reach personal goals in the future. It is to be ensured that self-helped
learners can master certain skills by developing abilities to manage, organise and practising
several drills so as they can improve and get the right approach for the future and healthy
career development. This report will provide the understanding of how self-management and
learning can lead to lifetime development.

1.1 Approaches to self-managed learning
According to Moorley and Chinn (2015), the process in which any single person
utilizes all the facilities and resources around him/her for acquiring data and knowledge is
called self-managed learning. Self-managed learning enables individuals to achieve higher
positions and impossible targets within the organization. Hence, individuals expanding their
capabilities achieve their targets by personal & professional development. Many
organizations have self-managed learning programme for their employees, as this helps the
employees for self-development in the direction of growth of the industry (Trorey and
Cullingford, 2017). Since there are the huge number of resources for any individual for
learning; the learner had to be specific and focused for his or her target or goal also he or she
will need to break the top priority goals to short-term goals. Short-term goals have to be
prioritized for their order of execution by the individual. Time management for these goals is
also very necessary. To execute self-manage learning individual can consider taking part in

From the above table, it has been noted that I am proficient in communication skill as I am
good at expressing my point of views verbally in the workplace. I can convey y ideas and
thoughts to my hierarchy which has acted as plus point in my professional career. I am
confident and don't have much stage fear, and I am always ready to listen to others views. In
this table, it has also been noted that I am not proficient at stress management skill as I am
not able to handle more pressure at my workplace and in my personal life as well. I can
identify the reason that can cause stress but cannot handle it. So I have marked myself good
