TASK 2
Description and discussion of how ‘Author, Purpose, Reliability and Relevance’ affect the use of
a source
There are discussed various aspects that impact on the use of sources are mentioned
below:
Author: The influence of a writer on their particular field has historically been calculated
based on the number of academic papers that he or she has published, and other scholars have
mentioned the multitude of words such reviews have. Thus, maintaining a detailed list of your
Document Page
writings and the amount of hours they have been quoted is an easy way of demonstrating your
effect.
Reliability: A paper is much more probable to be a credible source of knowledge if
written in the last couple of years. There's no tough lower limit here, but usually, that when a
citation is current, the stronger. That is because knowledge develops over time, and evolves.
Even because we now recognize that the Earth is not flat, there is indeed a lot of evidence which
has been disproved over history and confirmed (Hayes, 2016). If you take a gander at an article
on a homepage of a ruling party or organization help ensure that the intellectual property on the
official site is current.
Purpose: They need to first analyze the aim of the survey before evaluating the source. If
they are investigating for an academic article, and they need very credible, reliable, and valuable
references so the legitimacy of the publications will be judged by the private teacher. If people
peruse the web for the public interest, even so, and you are decided to leave to your very own
decision of the knowledge (McMillan, McConnell and O’Sullivan, 2016).
Relevance: Related sources are the ones pertaining to the research issue. It will be
capable of working out all that out relatively easily by learning or skimming specific sections of
documents and even writing down small charts that will lead to the accomplishment of them.
Humans’ presents you how and when to search down, as to where to search at credible sources,
and what queries to ask when you do (Wagner and et.al, 2018).
