INTRODUCTION
Personal and professional development is playing a very crucial role in acquiring the
knowledge, skills, and also gets the experience. This report describes my hard work for
growing the skills of the personal level and also describes how I can improve the skills of the
staff, who are working in the trust organization. The report is divided into four parts with
different questions. The initiate level of this report describes the Self-managed learning,
learning styles, and the approaches, by which the analyse of the personal development can
be done by the organization. This report is mainly focused on my personal skills. Personal
and professional development makes a career easy for the future. There is also discussion
about lifelong learning which makes the journey of learning or continuity in the learning in
my carrier (Trorey, 2017).

1.1 EVALUATE APPROACHES TO SELF LEARNING
National Trust is a registered charity organization which was set up in 1895. This takes care
of all the forests, woods, beaches, moorland, islands, reserves, houses, gardens etc. As a
manager, I have to take care of my staff for improving their skills and also trained them in
these fields. This is the most important thing for protecting the nature of the world through
the organization of national trust. There are various aspects takes place in the perspective of
National trust.
GOAL:-The goal should be clear in the mind of everyone in the team. The task should assign
to the suitable candidate, who can complete their task without facing any problem in the
organization because the achievement of the goal is very necessary for the employees as
well as the organization also. There should be the proper development of the skills and
provides the proper training to their staff towards the goals (Freeman, 2016).
PERSONAL ORIENTATION:-This is a very crucial aspect of the development of each and
every one. The personal orientation includes the individual person, where the skills
regarding the national trust will be improved because this trust is playing a very crucial role
for the forest, reserves, beaches, woods, so protecting them the staff should develop their
skills.
DATES FOR ACHIEVEMENT:-The goals and the targets which are assigned among the staff in
the organization should be completed in the given time or the dates because in the national
trust where this organization protects the beaches, forest, houses etc. the task is not same
every time, there are many things to do so there are the different task involve in the staff
and someone will complete their task the other will assign for doing (Hall, 2016).
CURRENT NEEDS:-The current needs means the present needs of the national trust. What
are things to improve in this, which is very helpful for the protection of the environment?
Complete the assignment on the same day or on the given time so it is not delayed. Present
needs are the needs which can also improve the future needs of this trust.

1.2 - PROPOSE WAYS IN WHICH LIFELONG LEARNING IN PERSONAL AND
PROFESSIONAL CONTEXTS COULD BE ENCOURAGED
There are various factors which take place for lifelong learning in personal and professional
development by the life cycle of the Kolb’s learning cycle, which are mention below with the
diagram:-
By these four points, there should be the proper observation of the professional and
personal skills, how to develop, what are the weak zones of my skills which should be
improved.
EXPERIENCE:-This is the initial level for the development of the skills in the fields of the
given trust organization. By the experience, my skills are developed more where this skill
provides me with the confidence for doing the things better in the future. Experience is the
part from where an individual can improve their skills like as mine skills. As the manager of
the national trust organization, I should develop my skills for achieving the goals of the
organization and the objectives of the organization (Hall, 2016).

OBSERVATION AND REFLECTION:-This is the second step of the Kolb’s cycle where should I
observe my weak zones and improve them on a regular basis. The observation of self skills is
very important because the reflection of these skills may be a bad impact on the
organization. As a manager, I should take care of my skills which are playing an important
role in my professional as well as in personal development.
DEVELOPMENT OF IDEAS:-The ideas are playing an important role in personal life and for
professional life for achieving the objectives. The innovative idea gives the more controlling
power of the staff. In the trust organization, this is very important to develop my own skill
because as the manager of the organization, I do not have any skills then it is impossible to
run their staff with smoothly and provides the way for achieving the goals of the
organization.
TESTING IDEAS IN PRACTICE: - As per the above discussion of the three points, this is the
last step of the Kolb’s cycle, where I have to apply all the skill for achieving the objectives.
This is the process, where I should apply my own skills and leads the staff members also for
achieving the objectives. As the manager of the trust organization, I have to improve the
skills of the staff and provide the correct way.
1.3 EVALUATE THE BENEFITS OF SELF-MANAGED LEARNING TO THE
INDIVIDUAL AND ORGANISATION
PERSONAL ASSESSMENT:-This is the process of personal assessment where an individual
takes the personal assessment. Recording of the goals of each and every individual is very
important by which no one will face the problem at the end of the day or end of the month.
As the manager of the national trust organization, the records are very important for
maintaining the data or the details of the organization.
EDUCATION:-The national trust organization protects the various parts of this world like as
forest, beaches, pubs, natural environment etc. so there are the different fields for assigning
the different task and fix the targets of the staff and the team members who are working in
the organization. After setting the targets the team members is also fix for the task.
PLANNING:-There should be the proper knowledge of the individuals those who are working
in the organization and also analyse my own strength for achieving the objectives of the

organization. Strength shows the power of the organization. Strength is a very important
part for the organization for achieving the goals and protects the natural environment from
the disaster (Trorey, 2017).
SELF DIRECT: - To analyse the weakness is very important because once there should be the
proper observation of the weakness than that weakness also convert into the strength and
there is no weakness is left in the business. To fulfill the basic criteria of the weakness first
analyse then improve it.
MONITORING:-As the manager of the national trust organization, the planning and the
monitoring to the staff members performance and goals is very important. By the planning
and the monitoring, the organization can run in the smoothly. The proper planning can
protect the natural environment because any disaster takes place and there is no planning
regarding that may be a negative impact of the organization.

The personal development skills are very necessary and this is very helpful for the future
and present time because of these skills there should be the proper support to the
organization as well as to the employees also. The visitors also feel very happy if I can
provide them with a better structure of the business.
AIM:-For identify the opportunities for the development this is the initiate level. In this, I
can identify my objectives, targets, goals, which is very necessary to know. By identifying
this opportunity there are various ways which can improve the skill and development of the
skills which are helpful for the present time and for the future also.
MONITOR:-Opportunities opens the new door for the development of the skills. For
identifying the skill I have to monitor my weakness, where the development takes place and
convert into the skills which can be developed by the grappling the opportunities. There are
various ways of monitoring.
DECISION MAKING:-This is the process of analysing the present performance of the skills.
This process is very helpful for the future and present because this skill makes the important
decision for the organization in the future as well in the present time also. There are many
times come in the organization, where decision-making policy takes place and provide the
appropriate decision.
FAITH:-This is the process of building the relationship between the staff members and
shows the trust or faith in them. This is the process which shows the coordination, support,
believe on their team members. This is also very helpful for the present time and for the
future also.
