INTRODUCTION
Personal values and beliefs are determined as the crucial factor that influences the
professionalism among individuals. Thus, such culture is considered as the broad striving force
that directly or indirectly affects the individuals working within business (Burke, Redfern and
Marks-Maran, 2016). Therefore, for an HSC worker it is essential for them to enhance their
personal and professional development in order to meet the requisite work standards that is
essential to maintain. The present report discusses the demonstration of showing one's own
personal development while working in health and social care sector. Grasshoppers Day Nursery
has been taken into consideration which provides day care to children's who are in the age group
of 1-3 years.

The nature of different professional relationships in health and social care setting can be
assessed in the context of Grasshoppers Day Nursery. The first professional relationship is with
the service users or the clients (Dinev and et.al., 2016). The service users of Grasshoppers Day
Nursery are children belonging to different age groups. This relationship needs to be based upon
the principles of care as children can only live in an environment where they get adequate care.
Another professional relationship is with the family members of the service users. As an

critically evaluated that this model is not effective for studying mental illnesses. This is because
diagnosis of a mental disorder should be based on patient’s behavior rather than physical
pathology. According to the Social model, the disabled people have right to be valued. The
strength of Social model is that it helps in focusing on the qualities of a person with impairment.
It also assists in analyzing the issues and concerns of these people. However, it can be critically
evaluated that this model is not effective as it neglects the association between disability and
impairment. But, this model encourages organizations such as Grasshoppers Day Nursery to
challenge the discrimination that is made against disabled people. Hence, the nursery can make

my responsibility and duty to protect the health of children's and provide them necessary care so
that it does not affect them (Freese and Samaras, 2009). Being a care worker I face various
dilemmas at care home in respect of providing best care facilities to children or customize care
required by children. At that point of time I need to maintain professional relationship and deal
with the situations effectively. Thus, it would benefit me in accomplishing the task efficiently so
that best results can be attained. Like this there are various dilemmas encountered by me in
Grasshoppers Day Nursery and I need to deal with them effectively in order to maintain effective
relationship with every individual.

Being a care worker at day care centre I need to improve my personal effectiveness in
supporting service users, their family and friends. However, I need to identify the needs of care
users as they are very small children of 1-3 years of age. Therefore, I need to provide them best
care facility in order to enhance their well being. In the same manner, by providing care to
children it is my duty to support family and friends of service users and thus provide them best
information regarding health of their children so that it could attain desired results. Therefore, in
regard to this, I need to enhance my skills and attributes and thus effectively support service
users and providers so that children's can be supported in an effective way. It would also benefit
in terms of protecting the family and friends of service users and enhance their well being.

It can be assessed that my personal contribution to the work teams to which I belong is
the care worker in Grasshoppers Day Nursery and providing intensive care to support children's
of the age group of 1-3 years (Gray, Field and Brown, 2012). My own contribution to the work
team was that I pay full attention to the required care for children's and satisfy their needs so that
