However, personal and professional development is necessary for a medical professional as it
effects other's lives also. Moreover, efficiency and skills of a professionals make sure about

social model and different professional relationships along with supporting dilemmas to resolve
issues will described here. It will involve factors to contribute team performance, effectiveness
of own contributions and improvement for the same.
TASK 1
1.1 Compare personal values and principles with principles of support for working
As per my point of view, personal values and principles reflect on work style and
decision making while working in health care organisation. I have my own thoughts to consider
priorities and several changes in clinical practices in order to improve patient outcomes to make
them well being. However, other personable values includes beliefs, preferences, culture political
perspectives, interest and change over lifespan. I consider my cultural norms and legal rules
while conducting medical practices to follow correct path of working and treating infectious
disease of patients in appropriate manner to give them a comfortable life. In contrary to this,
many of my colleagues prefer to consider their beliefs, interest and political perspectives while
providing treatment to a patient suffering from infectious diseases.
At the other hand, several values and principles are required to be followed at work place
compulsorily (Al Hilfi, Lafta and Burnham, 2013). I obey certain factors such as equal rights,
diversity, confidentiality, protection from abuse and harm in context of patient. I prefer to make
information confidential, save them from hazards and consider every person as equal in order to
render correct and proper treatment to them. Moreover, it is essential to make patient feel

comfortable and safe which impacts positively in their recovery process as every thing is
regulated by mind of human being.
1.2 Impact of personal culture and experience to fulfil own role for supporting users of services
The personal culture and experience is helpful many times to conduct roles as medical
practitioners in order to deal with patients properly. It includes various factors including
influences of family, ethnicity, belief, education, employment, age, gender and life events

disease of people and provide primary care in correct way. It will provide support to become
perfectionist in specific field which facilitate to fulfil actual requirements of patient in proper
manner. Perfection ability of medical professional helps to avoid complications solve occurred
problems immediately during medication process to improve patient outcomes.
At the other hand, I have gained experience of working with different types of patients
having their own dissimilar health problem which is required to be diagnosed in accurate
manner. My working knowledge and internship learning helps to me avoid mistakes at the time
of conducting clinical practices to render appropriate care for infected people. I am able make
more accurate decisions about treatment of people and other medical tasks which provide help to
gain desired outcomes at work place appropriately.
1.3 New developments and changes to personal values effects work in health & social care
The development procedure is essential in health care organisations as it facilitate to
increase overall efficiency of clinical practices and staff for reducing duration of medication
along with improving accuracy of outcomes (Clarke, 2018). I have my own skills, cultural
values, beliefs and knowledge about nursing which helps me to create new developments by
applying more effective as well as efficient strategies of techniques in order to increase
effectiveness of medication procedures or activities. There are several factors for facilitating new
development including legislation, policies, research, priorities and targets change to personal
values. The legislations which should be followed are carers Act 1995, Human Rights Act 1998
and Health & safety act. However, I have consider these components to as they are helpful to
identify actual threats and take correct path as peer legal acts to resolve problems properly.

At the other hand, personal values including knowledge level, skills, experience and
thoughts which reflect in decision making as well as way of working. I have my personal
thoughts that to remain careful and focussed while diagnosing present disease in order to make
accurate decision of providing medication. I believe to apply certain changes of personal values
like overcoming of tensions between personal values and principles of good practice to avoid
confusion while working. It also involves to determine differences relating to values of others
people including users of service and workplace organisations to maintain mutual understanding
along with achieving beneficial results (Dowling, 2014).

Every medical professional has their own skills, capability and education due to which
they have perfectionist for working in particular field of healthcare. The specialised area of study
facilitate to become nurse, doctors, specialists, psychologist, surgeons, pathologists, lab
technicians and many more. As a nurse, I have an ability to conduct overall required clinical
practices of nursing as my practical working skills are strong due to completing internship for the
same in proper manner. It is necessary to prefer learning style and my level of knowledge
impacts positively on outcomes of medical practices in terms of rendering desired facilities to
patient for make them well being. I prefer to make an appropriate plan of action so that problems
can be avoid and treatment results will be improved.
In addition to this, there are several problems like time management and work in team
which may responsible for decreasing patient outcomes. It is necessary to put efforts for boosting
up skills of managing time and ability to perform within team through maintaining required
cooperation to improve collective outputs (Duncan and Murray, 2012). Moreover, it is required
to learn from superiors to learn to manage time with working in group for generating better
results.

2.4 Effectiveness of development plan to own development as health & social care practitioner
The development plan establishment is important but it is more important to make sure
their effectiveness as it responsible for achieving own development in accurate manner. It is
essential for me to follow an effective plan of action which provide support to improve my
threats of performance in terms of increasing patient outcomes. However, I have perfect
knowledge in my specialised field of nursing but due to few issues it impacts negatively on work
and it is not possible fro me to provide best facility for needy people. Moreover, effective plan of
development is mandatory because it reflects in work while conducting medical practices to
make infected people well being. It will helpful to coordinate with other professionals during a
surgical procedure along with avoiding complications in accurate manner (Hughes and Wearing,
2016).
TASK 3
3.1 Nature of different professional relationships in healthcare
Dementia patient forgets everything even family members. Doctors need to know every
symptom which patient is undergoing for this healthy relationship between professional treating
patient and family members, friends is required.
People surrounding patient can tell about problems patient is facing from certain time.
Meetings are conducted between them and analysis is made as per specification got from patients
behaviour. This will help to analyse all problems faced by patient and medication, tests can be
performed on basis analysis made.
Professional relationships:
When it comes to designing the medications, it is required for a professional to develop
relationship with the patient's family and friends so that he/she may get to know about
issues which is being faced by individual,
Apart from this, team members, also plays a crucial role when it comes to deliver right
services to patients. Here, professional relationship among pathologist and nurse can be
helpful (Macdonald, 2013).
3.2 Personal effectiveness in promoting and supporting the rights of an individual
When it comes to perform well, it is required for individuals to promote or support rights.
In order to do so, models can be used and these are given beneath:
6
Document Page
Medical health: Under this model, these impairments or differences should be ‘fixed’ or
changed by medical and other treatments, even when the impairment or difference does not
cause pain or illness.
Social model: The social model of disability says that disability is caused by the way
society is organised, rather than by an individual's impairment or difference. It looks at ways of
removing barriers that restrict life choices for disabled people. When barriers are removed,
disabled people can be independent and equal in society, with choice and control over their own
lives (Ruch, 2011).
3.3 Ways to resolve issues encountered in professional relationships
In healthcare industry professional relationship are mandatory to maintain as if any issue
arises it can be resolved effectively by communicating with doctors, family members and nurses
surrounding patient. Dementia patient undergoes various treatments which are interrelated and if
there is miscommunication between any report or medication then it can cause severe impacts on
patient even can lead to death. Doctors analyse risk with patient and takes necessary precaution
to prevent them. Nurses maintains smooth relationship with patients and prevent any kind of
abusive behaviour. Dementia patient forgets everything so they can behave in very rude manner
seeing people, nurses should make relation with them so that things become easy for them and
patient. Protecting information about patients is important as sometimes it can lead to social
issue so security of information of patient should be preserved. Code of conduct should be
followed by professionals with integrity, honesty and accountability. Conflicts can arise between
way doctors treat patient, it may not be acceptable by family members of patients but can be
efficient manner to treat a specific patient (Trede, Macklin and Bridges, 2012).
Apart from this, it is also required to resolves issues focusing on expectations changing
over time, so that patient do not face issues while meeting new peoples. On the other hand,
conflicts among principles related to good practice and values of others may aid in developing
good relations among professionals and the people who are dealing with different issues or
problems.
