Professional development can be defined as training and education that an individual
person is required to get future growth in life. Thee are different skills which are essential at
workplace and different jobs are having various needs. A person should have some important
skills that are needed in every company such as, good communication skills, interpersonal skills,
teamwork skills, problem solving, leadership. Some examples of professional development are,
continuing education, research, improve job performance, skill based training, increased duties
and responsibilities, approaches to professional development (Hildebrand).
2. Value of short term goals
Short term goal is defined as something that an individual person wants to achieve in
some time or near future which means in week, month or today. These goals are made to achieve
success in future and help in developing personal and professional skills. Sometimes, to achieve
long term goals short plans are made to ensure that targets can be achieved (Serin).
