INTRODUCTION
The aim of the report is to carryout own personal development plan by setting personal
goals and targets with a well managed action plan. Personal and professional development is an
important journey for an individual life though which the individual learn and take actions for its
future development. Every individual has their own dreams to fulfil in terms of setting up own
business get their dream job. For that instance, personal development is must which helps in
learning required skills and set a clear path to achieve. Learning stage will never end in an
individual life as it is a continuous and pervasive function which goes further during the lifespan
of individual. Analysing self mistakes and work on them is the major criteria of learning. An
individual who wants to build their career needs to first analyse personal skills and set goals to
make improvement (Botha, and Herselman, 2018). Mainly professional skills do include
communication skills, IT development, problem solving and some technical skills also. These all
are employment skills which helps the individual to get their desired job role. Nowadays, there is
allot competition into market to get a good job but organisation always looks for capable and
talented individuals who could perform their job role effectively. So that, this report is going to
include personal development plan for the position of operational manager, through this plan, the
goal and objectives will be indentify with proper resources and time period. Also, the report will
carry out personal skills audit through SWOT analysis to check the need for improvement and
need to get better in which skills criteria (Widodo, 2018). Moreover, it is going to covered all
key aspect of personal and professional planning process and lastly, self reflection on the skills
developed during the course of time.

Skills audit is a professional type of analyzing personal skills. This personal audit will
help in providing evidence of existing cells and development in the era of competition. In simple
words, is audit is required to analyses the skills for self development by understanding individual
good and bad outcomes which they face throughout in their life. Is a type of reflective
assessment through which an individual get to know all the internal areas about its personal and

opportunity and threat. My skills are identified through the help of SWOT analysis which are

learning knowledge which help me in taking growth into my profession. This plan is basically
link with personal audit and assures to include all the necessary skills in the three development
aspect. These are discussed below:
Short term goals: in an organization, employees need to set their short term goals to achieve a
step by step procedure in making development. Short term goals create a path for future to
achieve something more from what they have today. Short term goals are for Limited period of
time. My short term goal is to complete business operation activities so that it will positively
affect in my long term growth. The short term goals are a track to the long-term development is
it play in important role which gives motivation from short wins. The short term goals provide
achievements in step procedure so that the individual could analyses the mistake during it
implementation and come up with real problems which would not influence on the employability
skills while working into an organization.
Medium term goal: the goal set for medium term purpose is a mixture of short term as well as
long term objective. Once an individual become able to achieve with its short term goal, they
move onto medium term objective. These goals last for many five years and not exceed then 25
years. My medium term goal is to fulfill my responsibilities by being a good leader in managing
operational task and my team members fruitfully (McCarthy, Maor,. and McConney, 2019). This
will help me in overcoming with the challenges and difficulties into problem solving. There is a
good fact about medium term goals that they are not fixed into time manner as it depends on how
much effort I will put in making the gold successful.
