Executive Summary
Self Assessment is one of the most useful ways that is needed for the purpose of understanding
about the strengths and the weakness that are present within me. This is also very useful as it was
a team project and thus it is very essential for the development of a proper team spirit and the
different ways in which one can understand about the team roles and the errors that are being
made by all the individuals in the team roles. However it must be noticed that not every
individual is able to understand about the different steps that are to be taken while conducting a
successful team project. I feel that I have been able to understand the different pros and the cons
that are actually present within me and how can I overcome the weakness with the active help
and also thee criticism from the part of my friends and the colleagues. The world is currently
home of a number of fresh graduates from universities with various skills and abilities. As a
result of this the managers are faced with a great challenge of identifying the best employees that
suits their job description out of the pool of graduate professionals.

Introduction
The aim of the report is to narrate the different skills that must be present in an individual for
getting a good job position in the current competitive scenario. It must be noted that I have
undertaken then course of gradation and want to establish myself a good and ideal employee in
the textile industry. However as here is a very tough competition taking place in the market in
the current scenario, I will have to work very hard in order to meet with all those challenges and
make sure that I am being able to support all the needs and demands of my employees as well.
BELBIN team roles are one of the most essential parts that must be kept in mind. I have realized
that there are both pros and cons of each personality type; it is from the test results that I have
been able to realize I am INTJ personality type. I will be able to do all the works properly in the
right way but at the same time I will face some issues in my career path. I will be taking the right
kinds of strategies for the purpose of overcoming the different issues in the path of my
professional career.

I believe that communication is one of the most essential traits that must be present within an
individual for becoming an ideal employee. I will be able to become an ideal textile industry
employee if I am able to communicate all the important business decisions to my employees

timely. At the same time I feel that this is specific goal and is needed in all the different aspects
like customer handling, employee motivation and many other such purposes.
Accountability
Accountability is needed as this will help in developing a sense of responsibility among me and
my team mates as well, I will be able to understand the importance of commitment and loyalty
towards the work or the different job roles that are actually assigned to me.
Domain knowledge
Textile industry is a rapidly advancing industry and I will have to develop a very strong
knowledge base in order to survive in this market. I will be able to understand the different
changes that are coming up in the needs and preferences of the customers so that I can solve
them promptly.

I have chosen these three skills or goals as they will be really helpful for me in the long run. As
per my perception, it is good to face the tough challenges that are coming in my way to
overcome my fear. This will help me to develop a strong confidence and self dependency. I have
selected the communication goal as this will help me across my career journey. This will help me
to understand the doubts and the queries of my customers and solve them. Not only this, I will
also be able to understand the queries that are being raised by my employees and immediately
fins out the different ways in which I will be able to solve them.

My skills gap analysis
In my own analysis of the job industry and the greatest want of most businesses today; the
employers are facing a great challenge of identifying the best employees and similarly the
employees find it so hard to get their first jobs and, therefore, I will recommend the followings to
both the recruiters and the recruited in order to improve and ease the recruitment system see Igor
Kokchorov (2015, pp. 332):
 The employers should avoid setting the mandatory hurdles to be met by the fresh
graduates to secure a job in the company instead they should subject the students to
internship as a method of realizing there potentials and abilities. Use of compulsory set

conditions makes the employers to miss chances of getting candidates of great talents,
similarly it denies the graduates an ability to identify and showcase their capability.
 Fresh graduates should put into practice their talents and abilities in order to develop the
required skills in the job market other than the professional academics only. Through this
they will meet the employer’s expectations and want in their businesses.
 University students should be exposed to vary activities and practical challenges that
would help them identify and put into use their talents and abilities. Through this they can
grow to meet the corporate demand in the job market.

Personal brand: I am an INTJ personality type. I like to work alone by sketching out my own
plans and taking my own decisions. I usually do not like depending upon others or abide by the
order being given by others. I believe myself to be a perfectionist and an effective learner as
well.
My Team
I feel that the large range of unique ideas was one of the best things that took place in my team.
As there were many different members coming from different backgrounds they were able to
give some very nice and unique ideas about the different works that are to be undertaken. It was
also seen that there was a cooperation and helpful nature among my members. All my team
mates have been helpful towards me throughout the entire project sessions. However I was
getting nervous and losing my temper at certain times. I was unable to handle the pressure and
became rude with my team members. The team members have always understood my problems
and helped me to overcome my areas of weakness. As per BELBIN TEAM Roles, I feel that I
am a coordinator. I have been able to show a good energy and enthusiasm. I have always shared
the goals in a clarified manner and place the right member at the right job position.

Conclusion
Thus it can be concluded that I will be able to develop myself as a good marketing manager in a
textile industry in future. As per my realization I have all the essential skills needed for the
purpose of becoming a good manager. However like all other personality types there are certain
drawbacks in my personality type as well. I will be working over the same so that I can improve
in the areas of my weakness and nurture my strengths at the same time.
