MAIN BODY
Reflective report
I am pursuing foundation degree in Business and Management, UK. In order to examine
the skills needed in my learning process and how I am going to use them to build my personal I
have adopted Gibbs Reflective Cycle that offers a systematic framework in order to examine
experiences and to analysis things from them that either gone well (Morrison and Gleddie,
2019). I have followed these six stages in doing so-
In the duration of one year of my Business and Management study at UK, I was assigned
a project relating to how consultancies works in providing advices to clients but also to
consultants. This project has delivered me full knowledge about how projects are professionally
conducted by utilising tools of advisory. Furthermore, I understood that how one can with
integrity, honesty, and other factors build working environment and generate more clients by
providing them full satisfaction. This one year journey of mine takes me to the path of personal
development by determining high standards that are required in professional world. This project
helps in to take out my inside team player who is ready for every challenge and how I can
develop relation with others. Working in team with my fellow students has taught me how
should I work in team by respecting other ideas and encourage them to work more.
I was very enthusiastic and thought that dividing work between us will be a better idea,
but sooner, I realised that work pressure is more in this assignment. I felt frustrated as something
like this was haven't done by me before. I push myself to work more in order to complete this
project on time by not going for my holidays and not wasting my time that has . But now if I
look back it gives me a feeling of satisfaction that I was to dis-hearted or change my assignment.

Every friend of mine has put there best foot forward to deliver quality work and complete
it on agreed deadline. Moreover, three students have left project in between, that has contributed
positively to work ethics in our team because of this I have learn how to take decisions
regarding how to assign their work to others I which amount. The thing that went against us is
we assumed we are going according to our plan but we latter realised we have done overwriting .
This wasted our efforts and time as overall planning was done again from scratch.
I think that initial division of work went really well as everybody in our team is clear
what they have to do according to their strengths. I discovered that working in this way I enjoyed
more as I was working on that part in which I am good at. We thought that this technique will be
favourable for us and we will save time. But things didn't went according to the plan as we
wasted time in consulting each other and overwriting. Overwriting mistake helps in building my
academic writing skills and we have used some software's to eliminate it. This enhance my IT
skills and I generate knowledge regarding them. For this I go through some literatures on group
work I find out pre planning about every tiny thing helps in time and cost saving. As we know
each other every well and didn't try to dominate thoughts or ideas for other, we work according
to Groupthink theory. In this theory people don't raise opinion in order to disrespect others as
they don't seem outsiders (LaVelle and Galport, 2020).
I learned that a team should pre plan how things should look and feel if we divide work in
advance will develop team working skills in me. I also find that we should challenge decisions
sometime for the betterment of work.
Knowing people in advance helps as a ice breaker. In next year of my course project I
will try to built relationship with others by communicating with them well . By doing so I will
get to know about there strengths and weaknesses. This will help me to save time and complete
work before deadline. I observe that first section is to be written together so that every member
in team can get an overview about the whole work and we will get an idea when we are writing
our part this will help me to develop my presentation skills. I will give full right and freedom to
other members, as a team leader to challenge our decision so that they feel comfortable in
bringing new ideas.
