The person lives in a dynamic environment and it is very essential for the person to
continuously look for development. This is essential because of the fact that when the person
lives in a frequently hanging environment then the person need to adapt to the latest changes
taking place in the environment (Tattum and Tattum, 2017). Hence, for this the personal and
professional development of the person is essential as this will assist the person in learning all
the latest changes taking place.
The personal or professional development is referred to as the formal learning of the new
concept and other advancement taking place in business environment which may affect the
working of the person and during their professional life as well. Thus, to remain highly
competitive in the market it is very essential for the people to identify all their weakness and then
try to improve it with the changes taking place in the market and the business environment
(Stewart, 2016).
Value of short term goal
The short term goals are the goals which the person need to fulfil in the near future only
and in very less time. Also, these short term goals are the one which are made to fulfil the long
term goal in effective manner (BEYGI and GHOLIPOUR, 2016). Setting short term goals help
the person in learning the new thing very fast and in effective manner as this will assist the
person in developing some of the skill in very less time. These goals generally last for the time
period of 3- 5 months. The short term goals examples are as follows-

ï‚· To improve the communication skill within the timeframe of at least 4 months.
ï‚· To improve the use of body language and non- verbal communication within practice.
Value of medium term goals
The medium term goals are the one which are prepared for the period of at least 6 to 12
months of time. These are the goals which are essential to be monitored continuously as they
need to be addressed for the personal growth and development (Shaheen and Hameed, 2020).
The medium term goals for the person to develop are as follow-
ï‚· To purchase a property for the purpose of investment.
