INTRODUCTION
Personal and professional development refers to the process which engages the individual

achieved. It is a life long process which is to be undertaken by the individuals so that it can

The term personal development refers to the process involves an individual who assess its
skills and quality in order to achieve the goals and objectives and on the other hand professional
development means the process which involves both personnel and the organisation to develop
their knowledge and competencies so that organisational goals are achieved and challenges are
over come (Hildebrand, 2018). This concept involves both in overall development so that skills
and knowledge is utilised in an effective manner for attaining the purpose.

The personal development plan ca be referred to as the action plan which is based on the

individual can improve and develop the skills in which it lacks and which are necessary for the
personality development of the person (Allen and et. al., 2019). It helps in achieving the personal
and career goals within a given time frame.
TASK 2
Discuss how ‘Author, Purpose, Reliability and Relevance’ affect the use of a source.
The reliable and relevant source is the most important part of the research as it makes the
work of the researcher trustworthy. In order to make the work authentic and reliable, the
researcher must utilise the content of the author which is expert in that subject so that no one can
question its authenticity. The source used for research must be of correct purpose so that the aim
of the research is fulfilled (Makovec, 2018). So it is very important to use the source which is
reliable and relevant in order to make the work worthy and unquestionable.
