All the members should be active listener in order to avoid issues and problems. With
these skill, we can understand each other for work performance. The other skill is non verbal
communication which is used by us for transferring information. We use gestures, body
language, eye contact, silence, facial expression, leg posture, arm and so on. These signs are
required for communicating among group to accomplish set objectives (9 Effective
Communication Skills, 2019). For making communication to be effective the member of group
has to ask questions to each others to achieve goal and objectives. We should be clear about roles
and responsibilities to perform different activities and task for better experience. We are
providing feedback to each other to develop and improve oneself along with enhancement of
skills and knowledge.
There should be trust among each and every members for building effective relationship
which helps in creating integrity and honesty for doing work (Fallows and Steven, 2013). This is
the skills of effective communication which is required in each and every filed to achieve
maximum results. There are some barriers which are faced by our groups while doing effective
communication within members. It is not possible to judge person while taking with them as they
may or may not understand us. There are some situations which arise within us while I observed
that there are some members in group who did not pay attention while I was talking with them. It
is the barrier of ineffective communication that leads to create problem for effective outcomes.
Therefore, it is very essential for me as well as member of team to actively participate in group
assignment in order to accomplish it within given time period by achieving goals and objectives.
This helps me and my team to develop, enhance skills, knowledge and experiences for achieving
positive outcomes.

Communication at the Workplace, 2019). The payoff done for investment in employees also
leads to be great.
The other impact is rise in loyalty and motivation where employees work for future of
organisation (Lalonde and Roux-Dufort, 2013). The effective communication strategies helps in
building sense of identification among business and employees. The staff who value organisation
goal are regarded as hard worker and loyal. Therefore, it helps employees to work for business
and leads to rise in motivation and loyalty. Other aspect is boosting customer satisfaction which
means whenever there is effective communication at workplace then customers create satisfying

sector for better work performance and achievement of goal and objectives. If it is done in
effective manner, then it creates positive impact at workplace behaviour for getting positive

Apart from positive aspects, there are some negative impact of effective communication
that affect workplace behaviour of working force. The effective communication has various
negative impact to business that create problem in achievement of goal and objectives. It leads to
deception where there is always politics play at organisation. Whenever one group wants to take
advantage over other then it leads to deception in nature that change nature of workforce who are
working in organisation for achievement of positive outcomes. The other affect is tearing people
apart where communication assist in bringing people together but at the same time it drive
wedge and conflict among each other (8 Pros and Cons of Communication in the Workplace,
2019). When effective and skilled people tell about other employees that they are less productive
which leads to create negative impact on minds of those employees to work for organisation.
Effective communication creates more connectivity at times which is good for business
but it arise problems too (McMahon, Palmer and Wilding, 2013). With advanced technology,
there are many workers who are connected to each other which creates problem for business to
achieve goal and objectives in an effectual manner. If there is more communication, then
employees knows more about each other which is problematic situation as they feel unsecure and
lack of motivation towards motivation. The other affect at workplace behaviour is that
communication is difficult for decipher at times which means information is transfer very
quickly which does not mean that each and everyone has understand what they want to

employees. Therefore, these are the cons of effective communication at workplace behaviour.

been applied in order to achieve a pre-determined objective
Negotiation is referred as method through which people settle issues or differences arise
at workplace or organisation for positive results (What is Negotiation, 2019). This is called the
process through which agreement or compromise is reached for avoiding disputes and argument.

start from preparation and moves to discussion, clarification of goals, negotiate for win win
situations, agreement and ends with implementation of course of action.
There are three main elements which are required for negotiation such as attitudes,
knowledge and interpersonal skills (Pang and Hung, 2012). The negotiation is influenced
through underlying attitudes to procedure of itself. For example, personalities and issues consists
of specified attitudes for solving issues or problems. Similarly, in order to resolve cases,
knowledge is required through preparing oneself in effective and efficient manner. Last is

organisation. It also assist in achievement of pre-determined goal and objectives within given
time period.
Influencing skills is defined as the way of influencing other in order to conduct work
(Sonnino, 2013). It means to behave in that ways which offer others in order to accept change
through invitation in terms of attitudes, thoughts, behaviour and accommodate own wishes in
order to accept whether they accept willingness or not in order to meet request for influencing
others. It is very important for organisation to develop and layer personal effectiveness in order
to influence others at workplace. The success and outcomes can be obtained through form others
or oneself. Influencing skills is not to getting things always agree by others but influencing
people in order to cooperate with them and may or may not agree with the same. In this skill, we
cannot force others to change themselves for better results.
The various types of influencing skills such as observation, active listening,
interpretation, awareness, feedback, self-confidence, choices, intuition, timing and so on (What is
influence and what are influencing skills, 2018). As we all are working in group for completing
assigned work within five to six week time period. It is the responsibility of each and every team
members to influence each other in positive so that they they can attain business goal and
objectives. The influence can be either positive as well as negative which depends upon person
and their way to influence other. Positive benefits other and negative leads to create problems
for others.
The main objectives of our group is to enhance skills for working in team and achieve it
within time period of five to six week (Stahl and et. al., 2012). Here, it can be possible through
learning both negotiation and influencing skills from superior or high authority. In order to work
in group or team each and every members have to possess those skill and ability which is
required for business. Here, with learning of negotiation skill, we can solve issues and clashed
arise while working in team for better outcomes in appropriate manner. It is very important to
have negotiation skill as to deal with each and every conflicts, issues and problem arise in
business. Similarly, for achievement of pre determined objective, we should be capable to
influence other in positive way to gain positive results. For example, there are five members
working in team and disputes arise regarding allocation of roles and responsibility for work

performance. In this case, being the member of team, I have to work and analyse skills of all
members and accordingly allocate them their roles and responsibility in effective manner. Here, I
have to play the role of negotiator to resolve dispute and influence team members by assigning
them their roles and responsibility. Therefore, in this way, knowledge and understanding of
effective negotiation and influencing skills helps and applied for achievement of pre-determined
objectives and goals in appropriate manner (Tolleson Knee and Folsom, 2012).

requires personal and professional skills for attainment of final and end objectives in effectual
and efficient way. In order to work in group, each and every members of team should possess
effective communication skill in order to communicate with each and every individual working
in organisation. For working as per rules and regulations of business, there should be good and
clear communication among all staffs and employees. The way of communication can affect
