A. Evaluation of my skills and competencies and find out the
skills to develop and useful for working in Travelodge Hotel
Personal skills are use for growth and improvement in an
individual's career and life for achievement of certain goals and
objectives. I have different types of skills and competencies that
defines my strengths and weaknesses. These are useful in my career
growth as well as it makes my workings as an area manager in
Travelodge Hotel.

Strength
 Communication - I am perfect in
communication skill with other person
effectively because I have this type skill.
As an area manager I am able to
accomplish all tasks in order to achieve
organizational goals.

 Time Management - I use it in my
working and able to understand
employee's problems so that they not feel
trouble. It also uses as to identifies the
core opportunities of the organization.

Weaknesses:
 Although, I am a good one in achieving all goals in my career but there
are some hurdles or negative comments which said by other people for
me.
 I passed responsibilities and duties which is essential for me but I feel
board with some work and want to reduce it. I also have little energy
for over workings

 I can learn my seniors and see them during office hours to rectify
my mistakes and make improvement.

resilience, team working and many more.

 To achieving certain growth, there are some threats that are
organizational internal environment and some difficulties.
 I have a little problem with my understandings that I feel
uncomfortable with some work so I face trouble.

B. Opportunities for personal development
For make development in personal growth, there are several opportunities for this
purpose. It is also useful for the manager of Travelodge Hotel. In this context,
personal development opportunities are discusses as below:
 Self acceptance – It is a virtue and deserve to change to an individual. I use this in
my core learnings and make development. It is useful in taking more duties and
responsibilities in the entire life and make it improved.
 Keep learning – Learning has no end and a person can learn in each situation of
career. I can learn many things in different situations and develop my core skills.

 Set long and short term goals – By setting
short and long term goals, a person can achieve
more flexibility that is useful for doing work
and growth in career. I must set realistic goals
and follow it for further improvement.
